    On 15 March 2024 lightning hit my house and "fried" my cable modem and mesh router which were plugged into a Rocketfish plug-in surge protector. When I called Rocketfish customer service / warranty line to make a warranty claim, they said I could not make a claim because the surge protector was over 12-months old (12-month warranty period). I said this was garbage because the whole point of a surge protector is to protect against surges and their device did not do that. If they only warranty their product to do its job for 12-months, then it is not much of a product. While I was making my continuing complaint (I did not raise my voice, nor curse, although I was very upset at their response) the Rocketfish customer service representative hung up on me. I have several of their products, but will never buy one again, nor would I recommend you do so. If you are looking for true surge protection, have a professional electrician install a whole-house surge protector. It might cost you $600-800, but it will protect every device in your house, including AC units, etc.
