  In 2023 we decided to have our crumbling concrete driveway completely redone, with the main issue being that the 85’ slope from our garage slab to the street was extremely slight, barely offering even the standard minimal pitch required for proper drainage.
  We requested 6 estimates and of those 6, 3 only measured the area while 1 simply eye-balled the area. Only two brought laser levels to help determine the exact topology of the area from the garage slab to the curb. The 4 contractors that simply measured or only looked at the area all offered similar estimates but with no guarantees of adequate drainage. Of the remaining 2 contractors who brought laser levels, only Tom with Richfield Blacktop & Concrete offered an estimate comparable in cost to the other 4. Tom impressed us with his detailed analysis of the entire area and confidence in a final design that could offer the correct amount of drainage.
  The replacement was completed in late summer 2023, on schedule and with minimal disruptions. Although the majority of the old drainage issues were adequately resolved with the new driveway, we did notice a few minor puddling low spots during the winter and following spring, and asked Tom to assess whether these areas might become problematic in the future. He came out to do a few standard tests and offered to repair the areas affected as necessary, and at no additional charge.
  Tom and Richfield Blacktop & Concrete came back in the summer of 2024 and removed and re-poured all of the questionable areas as necessary, to the extent that we now have zero puddling and all water is directed mainly into the street, which was obviously the important original intent. In our opinion, Tom and Richfield Blacktop & Concrete went above and beyond what a normal contractor might have done in this situation, and we can definitely recommend his design skills and solid commitment to quality. Our final driveway is almost a work of Art!

  Four years ago, Richfield Concrete replaced the concrete apron of our 28-year-old original driveway that had sunk about 3 inches at the entrance to our garage. They also replaced the last panel of our front walk where it reached the front porch. It had sunk as well and was allowing water to enter the basement. Both repairs were successful and looked great. So this year when we decided to have the rest of the original driveway replaced due to multiple cracks, we did not hesitate to contact Richfield Concrete to do the work. Another success! The drive looks great and makes our house look like new again. We fully recommend them without reservations.

  What a great experience! Richfield Blacktop was so good to work with from the initial visit and quote to the final product. Tom was wonderful at communicating his scheduling and getting my project complete by the date promised.

  A friend referred me to Richfield Concrete for driveway apron replacement. From the very first phone call to project end, they were professional, efficient, proficient, and kind. They came out promptly, measured, and presented a quote. I should mention here that I had researched several other companies and found Richfield Concrete to be very cost effective. When the gentleman Mark initially came, he carefully explained their process and timeline and answered all my questions. He left informative materials re their proprietary mix and FAQ's. I especially appreciated their efforts with their mix re our planet & climate concerns.
  Their craftsmanship is outstanding - my driveway apron is beautiful, and several neighbors have asked for Richfield's contact info. I am a very satisfied customer and I will contract with Richfield again for the remainder of my driveway project.

  I had a complaint a couple weeks ago and it was similar to another person who had the same rude behavior from this company. But both complaints have now been removed. Did he buy you out? He tried to buy me out by returning my deposit check to me. How can complaints disappear from your site?

  We began our search of asphalt companies in late July 2023. Our asphalt project was not a “simple” asphalt overlay project - no, we had a very ugly, broken-up, sad asphalt driveway that would require a complete replacement. Luckily after researching various companies websites we discovered Richfield Blacktop’s website that is so impressive and comprehensive! The website explains every detail from start through finish including their 5 year asphalt protection plan. From our initial in-person visit with Mark through scheduling our project with Tom we enjoyed excellent communication. But the real “test” of this companies value came on the day of asphalt replacement. What a professional, efficient, hardworking crew! I’ve worked with many various trades and construction projects over my 40 plus years of homeownership - And this crew didn’t come to play - they were so organized and worked as a team with each member playing an important role. I recommend the Richfield Asphalt & Concrete Team for any asphalt/concrete project you might have!

  With absolutely no background or knowledge of concrete replacement, we found Richfield Concretes website to be extremely helpful with facts and general information as we went through the interviewing process of various contractors who might do our driveway replacement.We ended up going with Richfield Concrete because, like their website, they were extremely informative and straightforward in the bidding process, creating a clear picture as to what the process would be from start to finish. Even with unexpected weather and supply chain issues, everything was handled professionally always, and we were always kept extremely well informed as to what was going to happen and when. We are genuinely happy with our new driveway and the overall job as it was performed by Richfield Concrete.
