We had Priority Construction Services replace our roof which was covered by our homeowner insurance. From the initial inspection to the final contract signing, the salesperson was deceptive about who would actually do our job. He showed me the company photo with a group of happy local people, and he kept using my crew in our conversation which made me feel that we were going to hire a local company to replace our roof. Priority Construction didn't disclose that they would hire a subcontractor to replace our roof. We only realized this until the roofers with ununmarked vehicle of ***** license plate showed ** on the project day. We consulted the city department and were told the general manager should tell ** who was the subcontractor because the subcontractor was tied to the roof manufacturer's warranty. So, we asked Priority Construction to clarify who were those subcontractors and the subcontractor's license info so we could double-check on the ** department website as directed by the city. Priority Construction gave us a very hard time with that. After our repeated requests, they send the subcontractor registration info and we found out the subcontractor was just registered three months and the address on the Department website was the location of a motel in ***********.During the construction, the subcontractor displayed multiple careless actions. The worst thing that happened was they took away a skylight and they used a leaf blower to blow construction debris through that skylight hole. The dust and debris covered all electronics, bed liners, and furniture. The dust also was blown into a home theater system which was the first property we bought as a couple 15 years ago. And it has a memorable value that could not be replaced by money. In response to our request to hire professional cleaner to clean and turn up our home theater system, the ** manager responded: " This is an old system, I guarantee there was dust inside already before this happened."
