I would love for you to investigate Glenns motorcoach tours **** at ******************************************* SE Oronoco, **. My father was scheduled to go on a trip with a friend of his when he became ill and could not attend. We contacted the company and spoke to both the office manager, ***** and the *** **** and they said that they were not going to do any type of refund, credit, attempt to contact anyone on a waitlist, but if we wanted to find people to take the place we could. I asked if the company offered my father who is 82 years old any type of trip insurance and if he had record of that. I was told that thats not his responsibility and that my father shouldve gone online to get insurance. when I asked if it was recommended it was reported that trip insurance has been around for 125 years and thats not their problem. When I asked specific questions regarding elderly clients she remains silent. When I spoke with ****, he told me that I should get a lawyer and laughed about it. This ************ then shared that they go through a third-party. When I asked what responsibilities they have to their clients, **** stated that they set them up with a third-party and order the tickets, get hotel rooms and order the buses as well as collect money. My concern here is not the money. It stinks that were not going get any of it back however as smug as the office manager and the *** were, it seems like this is a pretty common practice and I feel like this is fleeing elderly people. I hope this is something that is newsworthy because I really do feel like they are taking advantage of people that do not have the knowledge of things such as trip insurance, etc. and the response was basically not my problem. For client :******************* ************************************ daughter Trip starting on July 6th and was booked I. March or April possibly **** paid full amount. First communications began in early June about a possible cancelation 6/25/24 final communication and was told to get a lawyer

    Business Response

This is a response to *************************** complaint on 6/25/24. I did speak to her on 6/25/24, first of all there is NO waitlist for this trip and our policy is they have up until 45 days prior to the trip to ****** and receive a refund which they did not do. Did tell them they could find a replacement to go in his place as I said there is no waitlist list for this trip. They also receive our "mailer" which also states "We also offer travel insurance on our website and we highly recommend purchasing the insurance." This is through a third party company offered to our customers we recommend, others also get it through AAA or somebody else, it is all their own decision whether they want it or not and where they get it.

On a personal note I did share with her that my wife and I also lost money thru a cruise due to my wife being diagnosed with cancer, and her response was that was my fault for not getting insurance, and I told her that's exactly the same as this situation.

I explained we have to have all hotel and attractions booked and paid for in advance hence why we have the 45 day cancellation policy and we are able to provide what we advertise. The only thing referred to as third party was the ***************** everything else we do book and set up for the trip except we don't order buses we own them, so I have no idea what she is referring to as I never any of that.
