      The situation occurred on October 14, 2024, when we scheduled a plumber to assess an issue with our water softener at our home. The plumber spent approximately 45 minutes on-site and primarily worked to clear a blockage from our sump pump. To our surprise, after the visit, we were charged $1,020 per hour for labor, with the total charge reflecting this rate. When we questioned the cost, we were informed that this is the company's flat rate and that it is non-negotiable. They also would not warranty the work.Given the brevity of the visit and the nature of the work performed, this fee seems exorbitant, and I am concerned that it may constitute price gouging. I understand that while businesses have the right to set their rates, the practice of charging excessive and unreasonable rates, especially without transparency or justification, raises ethical and legal concerns.

      Mr ****** called in for a sump pump issue and agreed first to a $150 dispatch and diagnose cost. Our company policy is to address all pricing with customer and have it agreed to in writing before completing work. He not only signed the estimate agreement but also signed the completion of work satisfaction prior to paying the open balance. Mr ****** was informed of 3 options to proceed with and he chose the basic option which was $870 on top of the diagnosis fee. There were no surprises with any of our process. Mr ****** discussed with our staff the whole process before agreeing and then chose to make a very public fuss over the pricing. There had been discussion of other compensations to attempt to resolve his complaints however his unreasonable requests cannot be met due to companies need to pay for 2.5 hours total time with drive and onsite time. (45 minute drive and 1hour 45 minute onsite time - gps verified). Pricing was verified with other competitors too as being on the low side for industry standards. 
      there will be no changes to what was charged especially now we are spending a lot of time responding to complaints across all review sites. 
      we hope the best for Mr ****** and since we have not heard from him assume the repair is still holding 6 months later

      I had used ****'s Custom Mechanical to help me with my water heater and my pool heater. They did a good job. I had a problem with my furnace. The sent technicians to my home to diagnose the furnace. They did not have the tools to do so and just have me an opinion. I ended up paying $175 for a diagnostic that did not happen. I called back and said I still do not have sure coming through my vents. They sent a salesperson over to my house not to diagnose anything but just to sell me a new furnace. I didn't feel comfortable but since I worked with them recently I trusted them. I quickly thereafter contracted another company for a second opinion and I trusted them to help me. I informed ****'s Custom Mechanical that I was going to have the work done by someone else and I'd like to get my $2,900 payment returned. There is a three day right to cancel this contract and this was the first day. I was threatened by the salesperson that I can cancel but I owed a 25% restocking fee. I told ***** the salesperson that I have a right to cancel and that nobody did a diagnosis on my Furness. I then spoke to the General Manager **. He also continued to threaten me about charging a 25% restocking fee. He also then went on to tell me that it's over. I'm black listed from their company and if anything goes wrong with the heaters they had already installed in my home would never be serviced or supported by their company and that I am no longer allowed to call their company if I do have a problem with what they installed. ** the manager went on to insult me, insult the Carrier equipment I was going to install with someone else and continued to swear and insult me. I just received a phone call from their receptionist that they will finally refund my down payment minus $350 for a service call which is now double what the original technician charged to come out and give me a diagnosis. I was charged $350 double to be pressure saled. ***** did nothing but pressure me.

      This customers complaint of defective items was resolved with a proper repair. there was no refund issued and customer should acknowledge. Customer has been requested to remove complaint and bad review as it was posted in angst but has not done so yet  Customer has acknowledged to our staff that repairs are corrected but refuses to acknowledge publicly that this is resolved.

       I am rejecting this response because:

      I was not refunded my $2,950.  I can eled the agreement the very next day.  ****'s Custom Mechanical threatened me and told me I would not be serviced on existing equipment installed.  They are refusing to refund my money and threatening me.  Legally I have every right to get my down payment refunded and they will not refund my money.  This is unacceptable.
