      I saw Dr. ****** and she did an ear exam on me on Nov 14, 2023 and ordered hearing aids. When I came in to get them fitted, she ordered battery instead of rechargeable. I did not know this until we drove the 65 mile trip into ********* on Dec 14, 2023. Somehow we did not understand one another and she thought I said not rechargeable. She said she could order the correct ones and I needed to come back, As I was getting ready for the 65 mile drive back to *********, on Tuesday the 19th I received a call that the wrong aids were shipped. I was told that ****** could get me in that Friday (Today). I work Fridays until 11AM. ****** called me back and said she would make a special trip in for me. I called this morning to let them know I was on my way and I was told my apt was the 29th! I was very upset. I asked the office manager for the owner's contact number and she said she could have him call me next week. I ended up calling another Amdahl clinic to get owner's e-mail. I sent him an e-mail with what I am putting down here. I also told the office manager at ********* I would be filing a complaint with the BBB. She did not seem to concerned.

      Good morning-

      ************** is correct up to the point where he identified his appointment time.  Dr. ****** spoke with me Tuesday following the need to reschedule.  An error was made by the manufacturer when hearing aids not eligible for payment by ************** insurance were sent.  She apologized to him, taking full accountability for the manufacturer error, and arranged to come in on a day she was not scheduled to work to make it right. The date (the 29th) was confirmed by three different employees, including Dr. ******* He called the office today, and when he was reminded of the date he became abusive, swearing and yelling at our staff.  

      Mistakes were made, one on our end and one of the end of the manufacturer, which is entirely out of our control.  While I understand ************** frustration, it is NEVER appropriate to act in the manner he did. He has since emailed me and apologized. I don't deserve an apology.  My front office team does. I have yet to determine if he be welcome in our office. 

      Any adjustment to my BBB "grade" will be met with legal action. This was an honest mistake. It is not how we do business.

       I am rejecting this response because:

      Although I was not very polite and professional to the staff, I feel that the company Amdahl has caused me a lot of headache and all I want to do is be fitted. I do feel I had a right to be upset. I waited for quite a few months to be scheduled in the first place.  Just seems that the staff does not have compassion for folks that have been waiting months to hear once again.  I understand Mr. Amdahl's reluctance to work with me, but I don't feel since I am not totally to blame, he should not decide not to fit my aids as agreed.  I will assure him no further outbursts from me.  I just want to hear people at work and at home.
