    On 6/1/24 my vehicle was hit by a drunk driver. The vehicle was towed to Windys Collision center to be repaired. They were a State Farm preferred auto body shop. We were told the vehicle would be ready on a certain date only for that date to change several times. We live out of state so we would need to fly back to MN to get the vehicle. On 7/2 we picked up our vehicle. On 7/3 multiple warning indicators appeared. Windy’s was closed due to the holiday so We then had the vehicle towed to a Toyota dealership. Upon inspection, the vehicle fuel tank was leaking vapors due to being installed incorrectly. The vehicle is leaking fluids from the new rear axel seals. Either of these issues could have caused a fault accident! The Toyota dealership is having to redo most of the work mechanical done by Windy’s.

    Females BEWARE.
    I used the BBB website and Google reviews to choose this shop for my car’s repairs after it was involved in a hit-and-run. It had decent reviews and a good rating on the BBB site. However, it’s been 5 1/2 weeks since I left my vehicle with them and it has been nothing but a nightmare since. Multiple calls from John after my insurance adjuster gave them the estimate asking about other damages to my vehicle and if that should be repaired or not with comments like, “are you sure that wasn’t part of the accident? Your adjuster says it wasn’t but I want to be sure.” Previous damage to areas of the vehicle completely uninvolved in the accident. Then, at the very end when my car was finished, he called to tell me the alternator suddenly just gave out. My insurance tried to deny this was part of the original claim until a second adjuster went back out and approved the repair and new part. I was promised by John that the part was ordered and would be in by Monday and my car would be done Tuesday at the latest. Tuesday came and went without update. I called first thing Wednesday morning for an update and got a voicemail later from John saying, “ yes your alternator is in we need to clean it and ready to go anytime after 12 o'clock today give us a call let us know what time you think you make it”
    I have never heard of needing an alternator cleaned prior to installation. From start to finish, this has been a thoroughly stressful process. I am very worried what my car will run like after I get it back. I would NEVER recommend this shop to anyone. I wouldn’t agree with the high rating the BBB awarded this shop. I wouldn’t have brought my vehicle here had not been for the high rating.
