I had a very poor experience in hiring St. Croix Kitchen & Bath to build a bathroom for us. This project was from scratch with zero demolition required, so very straightforward. Upon signing the contract in April 2023, I was quoted by Pat that we could expect the project to be completed 10 weeks from start. The first red flag in the project was when Joe showed up to lay out the construction and did not even have a tape measure. Several weeks passed before they even started the framing. By late fall they were already well past the project deadline, but finally starting to put sheetrock up. Once the sheetrock was up, we saw the outer wall of was bowing in the center by about 1 1/2 inches. Joe's suggested fix to this was mud it and paint over it. His sub-contractor knew better and we convinced Joe the outer sheetrock needed to be removed and shim it up to flatten the wall. By November Joe said the project would be complete by the holidays. In January, he's telling me things will move quick now and will be wrapped up in a "couple weeks". I know better, but we continue to just get it done. Over the next several weeks, we run into more problems. First - Joe shows up one day and says it is not in the contract to paint the outer wall. He then quotes me a price of $30,000 to have the outer wall painted (still have the email to prove it!!) No worries - I find someone else that does it for $200. At this point we are almost to the end and it's time to put the door in. The sub-contractor comes to me and says it doesn't look right - it isn't because Joe went to Home Depot and bought a door with the wrong swing!! Remember, he was the one the laid out the project. I was stuck, so ended up paying for a second door for his mistake. The cherry on top here was when he threatened to sue me and put a lien on my home for not making final payment on the project...before the project was fully completed. I would highly recommend to avoid St. Croix Kitchen & Bath.

    *****,

I apologize for your experience with our company. This was a rough-in basement bathroom with nothing there. There were many changes in the beginning on the the project that were not on the original contract like custom vanity with quartz, custom bench with upper cabinet, knee walls, tile, and custom glass that added delays. We laid out the future bathroom with tape on the floor so that you could visualize it sense there was no design retainer included in your contract. We added paint ready moisture resistant sheetrock and electrical outside of the bathroom that was never on your contract that we didn't charge for. Unfortunately our installer that we assigned to your project had a severe head trauma accident that you were well aware of, and we moved to another installer so that we could finish your project. The free of charge outside wall that you refer to was finished and fix by removing the bow we never tried to just mud it like you suggest. We would never charge our clients 30k to paint an outside wall, maybe you are getting the total project price confused. The custom solid core door that was stained and unreturnable we order was from ******** that you approved had a swing that was purely cosmetic, we offered to order a new one and you refused the pay for it. All permits passed there inspections with no problems. When a project is completed and a client refuses to pay we have to remind them that we have pre-lien rights on their property. Once again we take our clients concerns very seriously and apologize for any miss understanding on this project. Your bathroom looks great and we hope you get many years of happiness out of it. I've add a link so that other people can see the bathroom in it's entirety.

I am very pleased with my experience with St Croix Kitchen and Bath. They were professional but friendly and easy to work with. Early communication problem was fixed and it was smooth sailing from there. The end product, a master bathroom countertop is just beautiful, so much nicer than I had envisioned in the beginning. I would recommend this company.

We were happy with St. Croix ***************************** right from the beginning. Instead of pushing for a full remodel, they recommended economical updates to modernize our bathrooms without breaking the bank. The project went fairly smoothly and they were very professional about a couple minor things that came up. We now have two upgraded bathrooms we are very happy with.

Everyone that I came into contact with was professional and work was top quality. I appreciated the can-do approach when something unexpected came up and their flexibility in getting it done. They showed up when they said they would and the cost was what I had expected- no additional costs unless I asked for something different. Highly recommended.
