      I find their business practices very shady and suspicious. When we were first signed onto a 1 year contract, we were given the cost of $60 per billing cycle which was every 8 weeks. Anytime the bill would come through, we would be charged $80. I called customer service to alert them to the issue and we were told that the contract specified that they can add surcharges such as fuel, environmental and anything else on top of our bill. We reviewed the contract and all it mentions was an addendum pertaining to surcharges but we were never given any addendum. Our signed contract was without any surcharges addendum. We messaged customer service to let them know and we received canned responses and nobody made any efforts to modify our bills to reflect our contracted price. I made contact with the account executive who signed us on and brought the same issue up and showed the attempts we made with customer service. At first there was response and then eventually radio silence and we were still being charged more than our contract. At this point, we just wanted the contract to end. Luckily, I called about ending our contract and found out that it was on auto renewal. I had to call 3 different times for someone to send me a written confirmation that our contract would end come June 2023. I don't trust this company at all. Each time we received a processing number and nothing happened. Finally, spoke to a contract specialist who says she is not in charge of our account and gave me the information for the person who is. I am now following up on that and hoping to get the contract and our account closed out before June 2023. Save yourself the hassle and stress, look for another company and this time do a better deep dive into their business practices. Stericyle/Shred-it is not the one.
