I have been banking as a member with this company for years. I applied for an auto loan within the last year of said membership. The loan was approved for a small financing of a vehicle. However three weeks later after pulling my initial credit report from Equifax a separate application appeared for a different loan amount (lesser). I believe the other reviews. I actually seen someone applying for a loan with someone else's credentials and they didn't notify law enforcement. Please look out for professionalism within this company. Very unprofessional

I called about applying for a personal loan, and mentioned it would be to pay for a car, representative ****** asked if I wanted an auto loan, I said no and explained, auto loans require you have full coverage for auto insurance, I only want liability. ****** offered to help apply for the personal loan over the phone, online etc.., I said yes, let's do it over the phone now. Application completed. ****** emailed requesting pay stubs in order to move forward with processing loan for approval. I emailed necessary documents. ****** emailed to say congratulations! Your loan has been approved, please open an account with us and sign loan documents and we will "send payment to the seller." Wait....send payment to the seller??? I emailed ****** to say the car is already bought and wouldn't the funds come directly to my account once I open my new credit union acct? Or would write a check to my current loan to pay off the debt? ****** replied, "If the loan is for a debt consolidation, and not an auto loan as you previously mentioned I will need a statement showing exactly how much you owe. You are correct we would pay them directly for total amount, and as for the remaining $5,000 what would that be for another debt consolidation? Or is it more of a general purpose?" At this point, I am disappointed in ****** because he already pulled my credit report and failed to mention that St.**** Credit Union would be the primary manager of the funds I applied for, so in other words, St.**** Credit Union gets to decide how and where to distribute the funds. This made no sense to me and is not my experience with applying for personal loans. I kindly emailed/explained to ******, please be sure to explain "thoroughly" to future callers that St.**** Federal Credit Union owns the funds and decides where loan/funds is dispersed once you are approved for a loan. This will help callers decide if they want to persue a relationship with this company.

They let a man come into the bank with my husbands information to open an account and apply for a ****** loan. We found out when the bank sent us a letter denying the loan. When asked why they allowed this they said that they didnt know that we already had an account with them. We have been banking there for years!
