Contractor was patient with us initially as we contacted him too early in our project and had many delays. We had drywall ceilings and walls put up in our unfinished basement. Communication between the contractor and some of his workers was a complete failure and with those workers and us. The hangers and sanders did a fine job for the most part. We were told the mudders/painters, would protect and cover items. These items weren't: carpet-not completely (mud globs on carpet), shower, toilet, outlets. We used an ice scraper to get mud mounds off the floor. Electrical boxes had excess mud in them, wires nicked (we had pushed wires into boxes) and painted all white. It will take hours/days to clean the mess left behind. We asked workers to not pour the mudding water on the grass: they did. We asked that they not move some items, that we would move them ourselves, if needed; they moved our weight gym and antique dresser. The basement toilet is not hooked up to water. It was taped shut and had a "don't use" sign on it. Workers were told this, but it seems they didn't understand these 2 types of communication. Some workers asked to use 1st floor toilet and we let them. We later found 5 inches of URINE in the taped-shut toilet! Before and after the painters primed the walls it was found that many areas required repair work. The walls are horrible: smooth and then rough, you can feel and see the roughness. It's unacceptable. Instead of just painting the walls with finish coats, we now have to sand and repair the mess we were left with.
Contractor said he'd clean and fix issues at the end. We have pics to confirm issues. He did fix some items, but he had a meltdown when told of nicked wires (which I will fix) and the toilet issue and refused to return. He never apologized for anything. I made final pymt before he was done with work, my error.
We would not recommend this company for any remodeling in your home. They would be good for new construction only, if that.
