      Summit is currently under investigation by ******'s fraud department for scheduling me with not one but two "specialists" at $492 for 15 minutes of talk, being told they would help me and by what procedure (accompanied by two multiple-paged handouts), and then, "Oh, we can't help you, but buy some useless physical therapy so we can bill your insurance for as many visits as possible."Deceitful practices bordering on criminal

      We disagree with the complaint.  The complainant came in and saw a spine surgeon for a visit.  It was determined to be a non surgical need and was directed to a non surgical physician.   The complainant wanted to treat his condition with injections.  However, complainants insurance denied given the lack of conservative care options needed to receive an injection (he needed to attend Physical Therapy before being approved).  When this was discovered, the complainant called and was verbally harassing towards the physician team members.    Our patient advocate was asked to step in and help.

      Our patient advocated reached out to discuss – left email and
      voicemail.  He responded with eight emails
      telling our advocate to “go to Hell” “you picked the wrong fucking day to take
      off and not work like lazy women do” amoungst many other offensive things.

      Given his behaviors, Summit discharged him from our system.   His care was appropriate and as such, so was his billing.
