      My 28-year-old nephew's 33-year-old brother died on February 1, 2023. They only had each other. Their mother died 10+ years prior. His brother went in for pneumonia and died 2 months later. We were sitting at ******** ******** supporting our nephew. He didn't have time to talk to his brother about his wishes because we were all in denial. So it came down to the most inexpensive option - cremation. They charge $4000.00 for the bare minimum - ashes in a box. I specifically asked if there was any help from the county or state and they specifically said NO. They also said payment must be paid in cash before closing that day. Nobody bothered to ask OR WHAT? He was able to scrape up the money, etc. My complaint is that there is/was financial help for him, which we hear about after it was paid. They do not reimburse so he's out of that funding. I am wondering why they did not inform us of this and lied to us about it. It felt like a high-pressure sales pitch taking advantage of a 28-year-old and not willing to help or inform us of funding. DISGUSTING. Would not recommend.
