We attended Renaissance Festival- my husband, and I and 2 of my very special friends from ******* ( 09.14.24)They came to visit us for 2 weeks. We bought tickets and got to the fest with no problem. We decided to buy 3 cups of beer. We are all 60+. But CRAFT BEER ( this business located close to pat the animal) denied to sell a cup of beer using international drivers license or international passport to my friend. We bought beer for him and ******* 5 minutes the Craft Beer manager approached us and said that only *** and Canada residents can buy beer at Renaissance Festival. And convinced to give the beer from our friend from ******* to us.We were speechless. I only stated to the manager that I thought ID checking is only for age verification. And she said not just for that. And she left. The mood was completely ruined. We came for entertainment and good experience and to show our dear friends another entertainment that Minnesota offers. Instead we got lectured, humiliated and discriminated against.Once i got to the bus to go back home I checked the rules for alcohol purchase at renaissance festival- there is no information or restrictions like that.Nowhere does it say that individuals from other counties are not allowed to purchase or consume alcohol. This is discrimination in a place of public accommodations.I would like to get explanation and our tickets to be refunded. P. S. I was trying to contact the renfest office, left a lot of messages and email , no response. Thank you

This was by far the WORST festival I have ever experienced in my whole entire life. 85 degrees on Sunday, and cash only businesses inside which they DO NOT ADVERTISE. I had never gone before and did not plan on bringing a cooler or beverages as I was unsure it was allowed. I also broughty card and no cash as I didnt want to potentially lose something in case of large crowd sizes. All of the businesses that sell water onsite only accepted cash. I spent 2 hours looking for an operating ATM because all of their ATMS were offline or had not been refilled. 85 degrees and no access to water for HOURS sounds like a medical emergency waiting to happen. The disorganization, lack of help/recognition or support from staff members, no access to water and then once I was able to access a working ATM had purchase multiple $3 bottles of lukewarm water. ********. Like yall dont have cold water to sell!?! If I could give this business a negative rating it for should would be negative a million. I would not recommend attending this festival. They need LOTS of restructuring. This is not a safe place to go, it was overly chaotic with many people looking for working ATMs and also unable to pay for simple things like a cold beverage on a hot day. We had no energy to explore beyond the time it took to run back and forth between broken ************ and should have just left after the first few were not accessible. $250 on tickets $30 on parking and $100 on beverages alone -$380 on the WORST attraction in Minnesota.
