    Would not recommend Walser when buying a new car. We purchased a "certified" pre owned vehicle from Walser (it only had 11,000 miles) because they boast about their rigorous inspections. We still did our due diligence and asked about accidents AND got the carfax report. We were told it was clean, no accidents, no problems found in inspection. We have since found out, after taking it to a different dealer for a fix, that this car had entirely new front end and all new parts that went with that. The new dealer new this within seconds of walking around the car and popping the hood. Someone at Walser absolutely had to have known about this before selling it to us OR it didn't go through any type of inspection like they claim. After talking to walser about it they will not help us in any way. They will not fix it for us, they will not rectify the situation, they won't even (at the very least) give a no cost loaner car while they fix the many many issues that are directly related to this new front end/replaced parts. It's sketchy and dishonest. Once you drive off the lot there is no more respect or common courtesy.

    First of all I want to say that I have been a customer of the Walser brand for over 25 years. I have bought automobiles there and have had them serviced there. Until recently, I used the Chevy/GMC store in Bloomington for my needs and have had good experiences. I now need something closer to home so about a year ago I tried Walser Polar Chev in White Bear Lake. The first two experiences were excellent. They were friendly and kept me in the loop of what was happening and delivered as promised. Last Thursday, June 6, 2024 I had an appointment for 7:30 a.m. for a repair of 2 items and an oil change. I was there on time. I had formerly used their shuttle service. I required a ride to a destination about 1 mile away. This is when I learned they had discontinued their shuttle service and replaced it with Lyft rides at their expense. Then I went home and waited, and waited and waited some more. At about 1:30 p.m. I became concerned so I call and was transferred right to voicemail. This happened 3 more times over the next two hours. My son finally drove me there. . The Service Manager claimed that the reason they did not answer their phones was because they have been broken for 2 WEEKS. Seriously?? What reputable business goes TWO WEEKS with phone issues? There are workarounds if true. Then I learned that at 4 p.m. their were working on the diagnostics. Remember, my appointment was a 7:30 a.m. I learned my car would not be fixed on Thursday but they could provide a car FOR A FEE. WHAT? I insisted they provide it for free. Then the service manager said there was none available. He then said he could arrange a rental through Hertz at MY EXPENSE. He refused to acquiesce. There I cut my losses. This is pure incompetence. STAY AWAY!!! It appears it is now about price gouging the customer. To be fair, I attempted to contact the Walser Group at corporate. I was told TWICE that someone would contact me but none materialized. I am now a FORMER WALSER CUSTOMER. Shame on you.

    I purchased a car from Polar Chevrolet. The transmission was skipping. I was still under warranty and call them to tell them about if. They told ne he care was just switching gears but I can bring it in. I took the car to them an after a few weeks I called them back to check on the car. They informed me that I was right, the transmission was slipping going into first gear. They kept my car for over a month, when I made the drive to pick it up I got there and they had lost my front license plate and there was scratches all over the passenger side of the car. When asked, they said that they did not know where the scratches were from i must have done it, mind you, I only drove the car for a week! So after they ordered new license plates and put scratch repair paint on my car I picked it back up. I have been driving it for a few weeks now and the transmission is slipping again. I called them and they said that my warranty is up so thy cant give me a loner to get back and fourth to work, they said that I would have to rent a car from them, its been over a week now and they said that they would have a manager call me back right away. He never did. Im still im the car fleeing from a domestic violence situation which is why I bought the car in the first place., I have so much more to say but not enough space
