Mo Boys was employed to do lawncare by us. We had a Bradford on the front lawn that developed a fungus. Mo Boys said they could rid the tree of fungus. They came out and sprayed it with insecticide instead of the correct medicine. It spread to 2 other surrounding trees causing them to die too. We pointed out to Mo Boys that they had used the wrong stuff and they lied about it. We told them that we expected them to make it right, remove the trees, and plant other mature trees in their place - what trees would they recommend? We clearly weren't going to use a Bradford again. We never heard from them again. That was 2 summers ago - if you take into account this summer is approaching.

Last summer we noticed that the Bradford and the other 2 trees around it were dead. We hired a couple of people to come and remove the trees. When they dropped the Bradford a huge cloud of rust colored dust went everywhere.

We waited for our lawn to begin to look half-way healthy again. It's been 2 seasons. My husband is digging out the diseased tree stump and we are considering trees to replace it.

MoBoys also added chemically treated mulch around my flower bed surrounding my front porch. It killed just about every bulb of flowers we had there. We had to hire someone else to remove this mulch and put in more that was the appropriate mulch. I want them to reimburse us on that too. This was completed last summer.
I would like for Mo Boys to reimburse us for the cost of 2 to 3 new healthy mature trees plus the fees we are out because we had to hire others to remove them. I do not trust them to put in the new trees I just want them to do what they promised - make it right.

When we went out to customers house, we told them the trees were too far gone. They insisted that we spray them. The chemicals used are the same. We use for all customers on those trees. In all times we use them. We never had an issue with them. We told the customer it would not help they needed to be removed. Furthermore that mulch use is from the number one supplier in our area. That also has been used hundreds of times with no issue. We offered to come and remove the trees a second time. Customer was rude and very vulgar. We told him we could remove but they wanted nothing to do with it. It’s unfortunate that this happened but none of it was due to negligence. We try to help these folks, but to no avail.

I am rejecting this response because it's not the truth. They were given instructions to treat the trees with medicine and to treat the weeds in the driveway with insecticide which they had done before. They messed up and sprayed the trees with insecticide and the driveway with medicine for the trees. When they came out to inspect the areas the owner lied about it and when we confronted him he admitted they had switched the tree medicine and insecticide. It was not difficult to figure out. The grass around the trees was dying and the weeds in the driveway were flourishing. They said they would make it up to us and they never have.

    Sincerely,

They were last at our property in the summer of 2021. We discussed it with Justin, the owner of MoBoys, after and decided that he would get in touch with us in the spring of 2022 to replant mature trees in place of the dying trees and remove them as well as grounding out the stumps. He also was supposed to reseed our yard. We parted peacefully with a plan of action in place. We never heard from them again. I waited to be fair and to give them a chance to contact us. Plus, we wanted to see what the affected trees and grass would do.

Since then, we have had to have 3 trees removed and currently have a huge mud hole where the trees were and their surrounding neighboring trees. There were 3 total trees affected plus the surrounding grassy area.

I want monetary reimbursement for 2 or 3 mature trees (or less) and the costs connected with planting them. I also want money for the tree removal that we had to pay because the herbicide (insecticide) only exasperated the problem it did not fix it or save the trees and grass. I also want monetary payment for zoysa plugs in that area. I'm estimating that it's about $2000 total. They can mail us a check made payable to me.
