    ***** Motorcycles of Aurora Had my bike for two months trying to clean the gas tank. Never called with updates I always had to call them and get excuses. Never completed a work order then tries to charge me for service I never asked for them to complete. After over two months told me I needed a new gas tank. Then overcharged me for the gas tank. Duece and **** often were confused with what was happening to complete my requst of cleaning the gas tank. I provided an OEM petcock from ****** and they could not even install it. I finally had topickup my bike and take it to another shop. It took the new shop 5 minutes to complete the installation. ***** is not a business you can trust. Theowner is not an honest person. Beware of this business.

    We had the bike for 2 months, told him it was a couple weeks out for repair, and usually 4-5 weeks we are backed up for repair.  He requested the fuel system be cleaned and repaired. So we repaired the carburetor and attempted to clean the fuel tank.  The fuel tank he brought us the customer tried to clean himself with muratic acid and it stripped the natural oils from the tank.  We attempted cleaning it because it would flash rust it.  We informed him of this and he said he had fuel tanks from other bikes he had, we said to bring it in and he never did.  He said we overcharged him for the new tank.  We ordered a new tank for the customer.

    We are not going to refund the customer.

    I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:
    C & S didnot create a work order for my request to simply clean my gas tank.  They gave me a quote of $100 to complete the task.  I called to receive excuse after excuse.  Finally after two months they said I needed 
    A new tank.  Then they charged me $100 for shipping.  Promised to complete the work in two weeks then lost the gastank petcock and finally I had just take the bike.

    The initial consultation for his 1959 Hummer project was for a fuel system and induction cleaning. We discussed cleaning the carburetor and fuel tank. Attached is the service receipt for the customer showing the labor charged for these services. The customer let us know in our initial consultation that he had used Muriatic Acid to clean the tank and was unsuccessful himself. We informed him that this may cause issues in the cleaning process as it strips the metals of their natural rust resistance properties, and he acknowledged this at that time. After we attempted cleanings and were unsuccessful in keeping the tank from flash rust after a cleaning, we contacted the customer and informed him of the situation. He at that time communicated that had other tanks from 125cc project bikes he owned. This statement led our shop to believe that he was going to supply one of those tanks as a replacement. After a week had passed he called and informed us that he was not going to provide one and asked that we source a new tank. We did this and ordered one. When it arrived, he picked it up, paid for it, and took it to be painted. The invoice for this is included in our response. There are no shipping charges notated on the sale of the tank. If he desired to source a tank for the project at cheaper price himself, we would have had no objection, as he had already brought his own fuel valve for it. The fuel valve he provided was never lost, and he left with it when he picked up the motorcycle. As he stated in his first response, he had the valve when he had it installed by someone else after us. The reason it was not installed in the tank was due to poor thread engagement in the new tank. We attempted to clean both the male and female threads and verified clean threads in the tank, by installing a ****** fuel valve of the same thread pitch with no issues. We will not be refunding ******************* invoice or his parts bill as we do not believe that we have committed any wrongdoing in these transactions. As a shop we maintain excellent reviews by our customers, averaging 4.7 our of 5 stars on ******, our work speaks for itself.

    I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:

    It does not produce a work order for the alleged requst.  All i requested was for c & s motorcycle repair shop was to clean my **** tank.  They agreed to aprice of ****** dollars.  It took them 2 months to determine the gas tank could not be salvaged.  They never called or provided any updates.  Stated "working on it." Whe I called every week. Upon ordering a new gas tank I was charged ****** in shipping.  I would like my ****** shipping fee refunded or they produce the invoice showing the ****** shipping fee.  The company that shipped the gas tank did not charge ****** to ship the tank.
