The car was dropped off in late March for repair. It has still not finished. He has lied time and time again about the service going on, but it has taken too long and **** has jerked me around promising things constantly but not delivering. He has been dishonest and was not ready to take my car on. He has failed to communicate time and time again.

On 12/7/2022 Reported a ine car accident to American Family Insurance
Claim # *************  Vehicle: 2013 Mini Cooper Hardtop
Sometime near the end of February 2023, the car was sent over to Champion Collision Center for Repairs.
3/1/23 Called Champion, they had to order parts
3/31/23 Called Champion again, they said they would have the car back to me next week
4/30/23 Found out that Champion had subbed the work out to ******* **** ***** and they were waiting on parts.
Many phone calls later 5/22/23 Went to talk to Champion in person - asked why my car was not repaired. What are we going to do? **** ***** ***, COO & Managing Partner, said I can have the mini cooper moved up the street to NTB - he called them and asked them when they could have the car repaired. They said by Friday. **** then called a Tow Truck that was bringing a car to him and requested that my car be picked up from ******* **** ***** and taken to NTB that day.
5/30/23 Called NTB at 9:15 am and asked for the status of my car - they said that they did not have any mini cooper there.
That afternoon, drove to Champion and asked **** "Where is my car?" **** replied it was at ******* **** *****. I asked him why he did not call me on 5/22/23 to inform me of the action. **** said, "******* **** ***** has your car on the lift right now. Do you want to see it?" "I said yes" He said "I will meet you over there" I said "Let's walk across Manchester Road to go see it" We did, the car was on the lift and the mechanic said he had to saw the wheel off in order to take it off. He said they were ordering more parts. I met Scott Little, Owner of ******* **** ***** and it he "Mini parts are hard to come by" He would not promise a date for delivery.
At this point, I no confidence in the repairman's skill level or that I will ever get my Mini Cooper back in workable condition. This could also be a scam to keep the car.
All I want is my car back completely repaired or Fair Market value for the car.

    Business Response

We had a long wait on parts because as ******* stated in her complaint Mini Cooper parts are scarce. However, once we obtained the necessary parts we progressed rapidly and *******'s vehicle was returned to her in full and proper repair. It is customary to sub out mechanical work as we are not a mechanic shop but a Body shop,  The offer to move the vehicle to  NTB was solely if NTB could repair the car on a faster timeline. That was not the case so Ballwin Auto Center was able to complete the repairs and return the car to us to finish the cosmetic repairs.  I believe the situation has been satisfactorily resolved and all parties are pleased with the repairs,

Car has been with Champion Collision since 1/10/23 for repairs, which were/are not major. Since the middle of ********, theyve said that repairs will be completed by the end of the week or early part of the next week. Then, toward the middle of ****** they said parts were on back order. Since then, the have not returned calls or communicated anything about the status of my car. I have included (uploaded) a copy of the repair estimate.

We are sorry for the extensive waiting time on repairs to ***************************** vehicle.  Unfortunately, the wait is due to the parts being on national backorder. This is something we have been experiencing within our industry. We are not given a time frame from the factory as to when they will be available and this puts both ** and our customers in a bind. It causes very long waiting periods for customers and we are aware that it is frustrating, We are available all week to take calls to give updates to customers. I would be happy to discount her $1000 deductible to $500 due at the time of pickup.  I have escalated this case and will proceed with urgency to get *********'s vehicle finished.  Thank you, ***************************

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. A timeframe for completion would also be appreciated.

    Sincerely,

I still have not been given a time frame when my car would be done.  I was informed all the parts were in and my vehicle should have been ready by Friday **********.  I still do not have my car.  I have been in correspondence with progressive and not the Business.  I have not heard from the business.

I took my car to this location after an accident which was in August (10th). They've had it all this time. I have been in communication with them and they put me off. I still don't have the car; they keep telling me they are waiting for a part. But Friday they told me they had all the parts. I have been by their physical location and the car has the bumper off, but it hasn't been put back together. They have taken so long to repair the car that I have had to go out and buy a car. My insurance paid them $14,000 and paid them in August.

Ms. ******* did bring her vehicle for repairs to ******** ********* after the vehicle was involved in a hard-hit collision. It was a multiple vehicle accident where she was hit with such force that she was pushed into the car in front of her from behind.  The car was brought in August 10 and we quickly worked with her insurance company to approve the repairs so we could proceed.  The next step would be ordering the parts which was done.  The repairs to this vehicle are very extensive as we have to replace two panels. (The exterior rear quarter panel and the inner lower rear panel on the inside of the body) The problem we are encountering is that the panels are on national backorder.  The delay is a ********** ************ issue that is of no fault of the body shop or any of the employees within the establishment.  What that means is simply that the parts are indefinitely unavailable.  ******** ********* is unable to obtain the parts necessary to continue with the repairs.  We have done everything according to policy and protocol regarding this claim.  The parts are on order and unfortunately the only option is to wait it out.  Ms. ******* has spoken to our team members several times over this period of time and we have been available to discuss the situation on several occasions.  It is unfortunate for all of us that we are in this situation, and I sympathize with Ms. ******* however this is out of our control.  We have worked hard with her, as we do all our customers to make a bad situation turn out good. We have been honest and communicated the problem and the reason for the delay and hopefully we will recieve the parts very soon so we can return the vehicle back to ***** ASAP.

Inquired about having truck dent fixed and truck painted and both taillights replaced. Was quoted $2500. After 3 1/2 weeks, charged $3.875 for fixing and painting dent only. Dent on quarter panel passenger side and both taillights. Estimate stated 7.4hrs. @ $68 paint labor just for quarter panel alone and taillight still not working. had to go back next day after picking up truck for passenger taillight. Then driver side taillight went out. after bringing to their attention my dissatisfaction, I was told nobody would paint my truck for the amount they quoted me when I came to them. Why was I quoted the first amount. To me it was a bait and switch. After complaining when picking up the truck, they charged me$3500

    To whom it may concern,
******* **** came to our shop wanting an
estimate for damage repair/rust repair on the bedside of his truck and
replacement of both the right and left tail lights. The repairs to the
"dent" were extensive because you can't repair over rust, this requires
panel/bedside replacement. Mr. **** mentioned he would like the whole
truck painted, however, the original estimate did not state anything
other than the bedside where the work was being done would be painted.
The original estimate Mr. **** was given a preliminary estimate of
$2504.21. It is stated on the estimate, which is generated on CCC
estimating software used by all major insurance companies and all major
collision centers, that the estimate is subject to go up based upon
further inspection. It is common to find hidden damage and further rust
once the outer panels are removed.  That is what happened in Mr. ****'s
case.  Champion was in constant contact with Mr. **** during the repair
process to let him know there was more damage and rust (it needed some
brackets and an inner wheel well) that would require more work,
therefore the price would also increase. He advised us to proceed. This
    raised the ticket to $3,875.
    Upon
completion of the vehicle Mr. **** was called to come pick  up and when
he arrived he seemed surprised the whole vehicle was not painted. I
explained to him that wasn't what we agreed to and not what was quoted.
To paint the entire truck plus the repairs we did would be a
substantial difference in price(approximately $9000). I explained to Mr.
**** there is not a body shop in town that would do all that work for
    $2500.  At that time, as a courtesy, I gave Mr. **** a $375.00
discount on his repairs. After he left that day he called to let us know
that the taillights were not working. He brought it back to us and we
corrected the problem which was a wiring issue, again something beyond
the original estimate, we did the repair at NO CHARGE and at this point
both sides were working when he left. If Mr. **** would like to bring
his truck back for us to repair the other side tail light wiring we
will be happy to do so at no charge.
    I
believe this is all Champion Collision should offer to rectify the
situation as Mr. **** was very fairly charged for the work completed by
    our establishment.
I have attached all estimates both the original and the final.
    Best Regards,
