In September we had some really warm days and decided to use our ac, but it wasn&#**;t working. We called these folks up and they came out on a Monday September 23rd and said they needed a new motherboard for the air conditioning and needed to order it. They left and came out a couple days later to put it in. ***, the tech, said he checked the whole unit out after replacing the motherboard and apparently we needed a new gas valve, so he left again with nothing working. Came back on the 27th, put in the gas valve and then he left. After that it was running just fine, and turned it off during colder days since we didn&#**;t need it. On October 24th it was a bit warmer and we had folks over, so we turned it on and it wasn&#**;t working again. At this point we have spent well over one thousand dollars. They came out, said it was a thermostat and they replaced it. They said they wouldn&#**;t charge us for the service fee, and it was working. They said that after the visit I would need a new system and it is shot. Before they left, they put in more ***** to make it work that night. Why did they not tell me this before I spent 2000 dollars. After the party I decided to look at the thermostat to familiarize myself on it, but couldn&#**;t make it out. I called them and they said they&#**;d send me a new booklet. They put it in the mail, and I get it but it isn&#**;t the right one. I called them and let them know the booklet is in regards to the wrong model. They say I have the right thermostat, and they would send the right booklet. I have the new booklet and that&#**;s all well and good. But at this point I have spent over 2000 dollars, my air conditioner is still not working, and if it needed to be replaced to begin with, why did they not say so? More over, why did they not acknowledge the previous mistakes and not work toward a resolution?

We did indeed receive a "No Cooling" call. I scheduled up a technician and dispatched him. Upon arrival he found the evaporator coil frozen because the blower motor wasn't coming on. At that time the tech asked if the homeowner had ever added any refrigerant to the system. Homeowner replied "no". So the coil most likely froze because of the lack of air flow.  He by passed the board and got the blower motor to energize. . Bad board. He told the homeowner the cost of the board and received the ok to order it. The tech got the new board and installed it. The blower now operates from the board. BEFORE leaving, the tech ran a heating test on the furnace (because Fall is almost here) and the gas valve didn't open, Bad Valve. The furnace has a gas valve  that is called a "smart valve" made by *********. Very expensive valve, since it is not used in new units anymore. The tech told the homeowner the cost of the valve and he got permission to get it and install it. He did. He ran a cycle on the air conditioner and the furnace at that time, all good.  A month later we received a call after hours stating that the system wouldn't turn on. So I sent a tech right out to see what's going on. The thermostat was not closing. Bad thermostat. This has nothing to do with the repairs. So I told the tech to just charge them for a new thermostat and NOT the trip charge. After that the homeowner called and stated the evaporator was frozen again and the blower motor was not running,,,,,, when in fact it was !!  The tech thawed out the coil and started up the system put the gauges on and found out that the system is low on refrigerant. The leak was most likely developed by the coil freezing up the first time. The system is an old R-22 system. Nothing that the **** did to created this issue. We gave the homeowner a cost to replace the system as they requested. Every time we went there it was with the intent to help the homeowner and fix the problem. We did  not create a problem.
