    I had a contract with them to replace the metal roofing and the front porch was sloping and they needed to replace the front porch roof first and then take off the ply wood the insurance company was going to pay for.. They was suppose to replace vents at the time of repair. I would like to be refund the amount of $6261.23 that I paid them with our check number #*** dated Oct *******. I have called the project managers and they have refused to come out and fix the problem or return any of my calls. I want a total refund of $6261.23 so I can have another roofing department to complete the work correctly. I would also like the cost of ply wood paid for $800.00. Total refund amount I want is $7061.23.

    I signed a contract to have my roof replaced on July 3 2024. 14 weeks (3 plus months) later and my roof still is not done and what has been done is not done right. The shingles are on but a lot of them are not laying flat and almost every ridge is visibly crooked. I had to call several weeks after the shingles were installed just to have someone come out to inspect the job (no one reached out to me to ask how it went or what the result was). The person who looked at the roof agreed with all my observations and promised that they would have someone call me to schedule repairs. That was almost 3 weeks ago. I still do not have the gutters or chimney cap and no idea when to expect it to be done and no word on when the existing job will be fixed. Frankly, I am tired of having to chase them to get the job done. For what it is costing me, I would expect a little better follow up and professionalism when it comes to the quality of work. When I signed the contract, I was told someone would call to start to schedule the work. Six weeks later, I had not heard from anyone and called. I was told the my check had just been deposited and they could now order the materials. Over the next two months, I was told that the material would be delivered on a certain date that came and went without a call from the company or the materials being delivered. The dumpster just showed up without warning. Any status I have gotten has been because I have had to call to find out what is going on. I have neighbors who contracted for roofs with other companies around the same time I did. They have had finished roofs for a couple ********* fairness, when I do talk to someone, they are generally nice. I went with A Better Quality Roofing partially based on their score here at BBB. Based on my experience I really do not know how they have such a high rating.

    We were contacted by them in ***** **** began work late August. Many miscommunications in between that time. **** did not pay attention to our insurance coverage, which led to a much longer wait for a report that was unnecessary. When the dumpster was delivered, they ran through our landscaping. After roof was complete, we noticed a hole in the attic/roof and that multiple flashings were not installed. Rotten deck boards in the attic were not replaced. Drip edge that was agreed upon in the contract was supposed to be brown, and was installed as white. When I called to ask, I was screamed at by ***** ******** and was told someone else would be dealing with the issues. We then had further issues when the gutter crew arrived with the wrong color miters. **** were spray painting the miters on the back side of their work truck, and when I approached and asked about it, I was told they were not painting, I took pictures of the painted parts, and spray can. When I called our new contact person about this issue and the others that were not corrected, I was told that I was looking for things to complain about. I was also accused of insurance fraud when I said I was not paying for things that were not completed by ****** ********. The owner *** ******** then got involved and insisted on August 27th that everything would be taken care of. He came to look, at first he told me nothing was wrong, and that the hole would not leak. Then, days later he came out again and caulked the hole near the chimney before rain was scheduled to come later that day. Since then, we have had 2 canceled appointments, one of which we were not even informed they were not coming. These appointments were for them to come inside the attic and examine where the rotten boards need to be replaced as well as address the flashing issues. We were told part of the roof would need to be removed and replaced. I asked *** for confirmation that they will be coming this Saturday and have not received a reply.
