I went into the business to get an oil change and find out why my heater wasn't working. Was told it was $89 to do a diagnostics. I asked if I paid for the diagnostics were they gonna be able to figure out exactly what was wrong and fix it and he said absolutely. They kept bringing me into the shop to show me things and was coming up with a bill of $1500. I've never felt so violated in my life. I felt like it was a money grab to try to get as much money out of me as possible. The tech that worked on the vehicle told me he wasn't sure exactly what was wrong? He said it could be a few different things. I explained I was told when I came in that you would be able to diagnose it and tell me exactly what was wrong? He rambled off a few things again, and I asked him a second time what was the fix? He said he wasn't sure? Then another guy told me it was the heater core. They wanted over $1000 to replace the heater core. I can find the part online for $50. This place just wants to get as much money out of people as they can. Their parts are super inflated, and their labor is super inflated.

I took my vehicle in for an AC charge and oil change. The mechanic took my tires, wheels, and rotors off to “inspect.” I then received an email saying my car required over $1,200 in repairs.

When I told the manager I could only afford the AC and oil change I was shamed and told I was ignoring a safety issue. I was charged almost $400 for them to put coolant in and change the oil.

The next day I noticed one of my tires going flat very slowly. I went to check my air pressure and they were all low and the car made a horrible noise while coming to a stop.

I called to report the issue with the manager’s superior and was told to bring the car back in. When I arrived I was again shamed in front of numerous other customers. No one showed any compassion, or apologized. I was treated so poorly I felt uncomfortable leaving my car in their care again.

I now have an appointment with another shop to fix what Meineke has done.

My vehicle was towed into the Meineke in **** ********** on 6/30 due to it overheating. When explained to the mechanics,on 7/1,I requested the radiator fan to be replaced,an oil change and the AC to be looked at.Techs at the location said my radiator fan was fine and they needed to replace other parts and perform additional tests for the car.I arrived to pick up the car and found out my hood dented from one of the technicians slamming the hood on a tablet. The check engine light was on and my oil had not been changed.I told **** I hadn't received the oil change.**** asked me if I was sure that I was supposed to get one. That time I paid $2017.04 and still left with the check engine light on.When driving the power in my vehicle had immensely decreased; I had assumed it was due to the check engine light being on.I talked to **** *****, Director of Operations.**** referred me to a shop in KS off ******* ****I went 7/6 to have a full inspection done.*** stated they were unsure what the other shop had/hadn't done as the work and system contradicted itself. The manager stated the invoice from the other shop looked"squirrely"and I had 'been charged triple,'and was unsure if the parts they actually replaced were actually needed. When the check came back it showed work was needed which equaled to $536.62.The manager called **** 'they would charge me for the $116.00 est. and he would take $40.00 off per hour for labor. The next day I called ****;he agreed for me to pay for the part and he would cover labor.I made another apt on 7/10,interrupting my work day.I was given a different amount in which was over $300.00.The manager said that price came from **** and I then paid $137.48.The air conditioning now works, but the check engine light is on.I had codes checked by ******** *** **************** showed the engine underboost and turbocharger bypass valve stick. There weren't problems with the turbo beforehand as it was recently replaced.I was also
    not having acceleration issues.

I went in for a routine inspection to renew my registration. The owner told me that my brakes needed to be replaced because there was metal grinding on metal. I explained I know enough about my vehicle to know that isn’t the case an expressed that I know the price he was quoting was inflated. He then immediately said, “what if I do it for $400.00?”with no explanation as to how he was suddenly able to reduce the charge by so much. He also kept my car in the shop the entire time he was trying to strong arm me into authorizing the repairs on the spot. I went to another local shop for a second opinion and passed the inspection with no issues. I explained what the owner of this location told me and they said my brakes were far from worn enough to justify failing my inspection. I believe, without a doubt, they were trying to use the Knowledge that I needed the passed inspection for my registration against me in hopes to get me to have unnecessary work done. I’ve gone to this location my entire adult life and the first time I go in after new ownership took over they try ripping me off. It was only $12.00 lost paying for their sham inspection but I want it back and I don’t want this shop continuing to rip off others. I’m just lucky I knew enough about my car to know they were lying to me.

Charging people for products that were not necessary nor provided. My vehicle only calls for 3.8 Quarts of oil but I was charged for 5 which I of course did not receive as my car does not need that much,
