    We hired ******* ******* with KATN to renovate our house.
    He asked for $25,000 in advance to get materials and pay his labor.
    After our payment to him, He sent another contractor to the house to supervise work, the workers were at the property for two days each week. While there, they caused so much property damage.. not only am I out of $25,000 but now I have to hire another contractor to come in and repair the damage that KATN caused. We received an apology text from ******* *******, and have not heard from him since. We have requested even partial refund, but he has yet to reply.
    I have received phone calls from his employees, threatening to put a lien on my property because they were not paid.
    Since then, we’ve contacted an attorney.

    To Whom It May Concern:
    We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaint.
    This project involved multiple stages of residential renovation, and our team performed
    work over 4 weeks, during which time the complainants made a total payment of $25,000. Want to state that we NEVER asked for 25k to start the job, we had a payment schedule that we were going by that we all agreed to.
    Below is a summary of the work completed:
    • Framing and build out of the basement
    • Installed drywall throughout the basement
    • Completed mudding and taping of the basement drywall that was hung
    • Fully removed the existing wrap-around deck
    • Closed in the door in the living room, reframed the wall, and installed a new window
    • Removed siding on three sides of the home, removed and replaced insulation, and
    installed new house wrap, siding, and exterior trim
    • Powerwashed the front side of house, caulked and painted the entire house (the customers also had the painters take down and paint all the gutters without talking to me which was NOT ever talked about with me) that would be a change order.
    This scope reflects well over 75% of the contracted work based on time and materials. The
    claim that “only 25%” of the project was completed is not supported by the actual work
    performed or the on-site progress. We also observed that after this phase was completed,
    the complainants appeared satisfied with text messages stating "nail holes look good" and no immediate concerns were raised. They also appeared to be so happy with the work that they wanted us to go look at another project that they were wanting us to work on as well.
    It should be noted that I was the third (possibly fourth) contractor on this property, which
    may indicate a broader pattern of complex project management or unrealistic
    expectations. Following the completion of the siding and exterior work, a subcontractor
    who had previously worked for us was observed working directly for the homeowner,
    suggesting they may have taken over the remaining work with another party of their own
    choosing.
    While we regret any misunderstanding or dissatisfaction, our company made a good-faith
    effort to execute all requested work professionally and in a timely manner. We have not
    received any substantiated claims of damage from the homeowner during or after the
    work, nor was any formal complaint logged with us regarding performance at the time. The
    mention of third-party workers threatening to file liens relates to individuals who were not
    our employees but subcontractors; any such communication should be directed to them
    individually.

    Finally, we stand by the quality and volume of work completed under this agreement.
