    I called the company and received an estimate that consisted of several large items and 50 boxes. The estimate said job would take 7-8 hours and cost $1600. I have a copy of the estimate. The actual move consisted of the several large items but no boxes as I moved them myself prior to move. During the move the movers were very slow and disrespectful to my time and property. There was damage done to the house and items. Hardware was lost and we couldn’t assemble some furniture because of it. The company did not put down any protective items on the new house. This lead to scratches on floor and a dirty oily door that had to be cleaned and painted. There were even instances where they were throwing cushions from truck to the deck getting wet snow and dirt on them. The worst part of all of this was, because of there lack of effort the move took 13.25 hours which I was charged extra for. It was 11 PM at this time and they still had not completed all work on the estimate. They claimed to be finished and calculated I owed almost 2500 dollars. I paid thinking I would take my complaint to the owner, which I did and he only offered to pay for lost screws. He said time was not negotiable. Which accounted for over 5 extra hours as compared to estimate. I feel the job was not completed and time “worked” did not represent reality of actual work or time that should have been required.
