    I rented two jet skies from this business on 7/23/2022 and was assured dispire the condition they were in upon arrival that they were both in safe working condition. When the skies were put into the water one ski was unbalanced and rolled with no exceleration putting my child in I in danger. A good Samaritan towed us back to the ramp after letting it rest for 30 mins and attempting to ride it back at which point the ski still wanted to roll over so i just got off and returned the ski. Upon reporting the issue and safety concern to this business the reaponse was hostility and yelling calling me a LIAR! This business still charged me $300 for this horrible experience and did not communicate in regards to my refund request or safety concern.

    Dear BBB,

    While it is true, *** ****** did rent 2 jets skis from me (Two, **** ****** ******** watercraft) and returned with a complaint of having flipped one and trouble getting back on. She said it was “not a fun experience”. Inherently, jet skis are very unstable and require a keen sense of balance such as riding a motorcycle or a bicycle. Sometimes, with inexperience and without that sense of balance, one cannot properly operate a personal watercraft such as the ones *** ****** rented. Rough water can also add to the instability of the watercraft. Although people claim, when they rent these personal watercraft, they have experience in operating them but later we learn that their level of expertise/experience is not as they claim. After she returned the jet skis I personally launched them and tested each one to insure no problem existed as she claimed. There was no problem found as I evaluated them. I found them to be in good working condition with no apparent problems nor any safety concerns that should be addressed. The customers who rented them the days and day prior to *** ****** had no complaints. The customers who rented them after *** ****** have not complained of any problems. We do not offer a “day of fun” money back guarantee. We are not an amusement park, we rent boats. We can only rely on a customer’s truthfulness as to their level of experience in operating these watercraft. Therefore, we are not offering *** ****** a refund and if she feels further action is warranted we can address this situation in the context of litigation.
