    I was not aware of a 7-day advanced cancelation policy, until I got covid and my doctor advised I cancel my trip. I had the decency to call and cancel. The only resolution to the problem from the owner was to move my reservation out 7 days, that was not going to work I was camping with my camping club to watch the eclipse. He said to talk to the club about moving their reservations too. I was getting nowhere with him I hung up. He could of at least offered me some kind of a refund it was not my fault I got covid. I'm out $361.00.

    I don't like the idea the owner billing me the 2nd amount before I even checked in. I was billed $180.80 on September 29, 2023, and billed $180.80 on March 29, 2024.

    The cancellation policy was provided via email to ************ at: ****************** on September 27, 2023 (see attached).  Upon her request for cancellation three days before arrival, ************ was again made aware of the cancellation policy of more than seven days' required.  As you can see, the cancellation policy is spelled out three times in the confirmation email.


    In an effort to compromise with her, our manager extended the courtesy of making an offer of a credit toward a future stay within a year of her original stay at no additional cost (in spite of our strict policy)--to which *********** became threatening and irate.  *********** has continued to harass us via ******* the Better Business Bureau, and the Missouri Attorney General's Office.

    ************ is unreasonable, and we are not in a position to refund her money.  Due to her behavior, ************ is no longer a welcome guest, and the offer of a credit toward a future stay is no longer available. 


    It's unfortunate that some consumers are dishonest, as is the case with ************.  We are a new business, and our policies, including cancellation, are consistent with industry standards.

    I did ask the owner to send me another copy of the receipt, he said I did not need it to check in, so if policy was on that receipt I don't remember reading it and I could not find it on the website. I may have said at the end of my conversation with the owner give me a year, but I thought about it I don't care for ******* and again the only reason I was staying at this campground I was camping with my camping club to watch the eclipse. I do not know of any campground that won't give some of the camping fee back.
