     Addendum to original complaint: 

          I received a phone call on August 30th from a 'Private Caller' no number listed. I answered the phone, it was ***** ****** of Unique Painting. I inquired as to the purpose of his call. ***** ****** wanted to come to our home to return my container of sample stain, AND, a receipt for some $475.00 stain he claimed he had recently purchased(?). 

         I empathically stated that I would not accept some dubious receipt for stain I knew nothing about. I stated to him that, accepting some phony receipt would mean I agreed to said purchase! Sight unseen!

        The verbal agreement on June 7th was - *** ****** would match the sample stain I gave him; and, in turn he would return with a small sample of matching stain for my approval. He did not return, nor make contact with me for over 26 days! 

         Suddenly, he claims he purchased some stain for our deck(s). When I further inquired why he did not do the work he contracted to do - his response was he " had a lot of things going on in his life"! 

         I immediately hung up the telephone.

    This company was hired and significant deposit paid on 6/1/23 to have the job completed by the middle of June 2023. He said it would take 3 days and they would work in the evenings/wknds to complete. We have been out of the Condo to allow access to the job. They were to paint cabinets/interior doors/frames & exterior door. He was to touchup/paint and install new baseboard through out. He took all of my cabinet doors/drawers & all interior doors to his "shop" to paint and then bring back and install. I periodically went to the condo to check on progress as I am coordinating other workers. The baseboards that he has installed are not flush and he did not tape above prior to painting and rolled black paint on my newly painted light gray walls!! I contacted ***** and he assured me that they were working on the project and he would ensure that the paint would be as new when completed. The completion date came and went and I have had to reschedule other installers. I contacted ***** again end of June after he had told me he would be working on the condo and yet again when I went in minimal had been done. He was going on vacation and said he would call me on the Thurs when he returned. (Which he did not) He became offensive and accused me of micromanaging him. He was completely unprofessional. I didn't hear from him Thurs. I contacted him on Friday and he seemed like he had a professional attitude again and told me he planned to have his crew out Mon 17th July and would work all week and on Fri 21st we would walk through and any areas that need touched up he would have a worker there to complete. I asked the status of the doors/drawers that he took and he said everything was painted and ready to install. I went by Mon evening and noone had been there. I tried to contact him and he would not take my calls/texts this past month. He has my property and I have asked him to return it with which he texted he will then doesn't!
    The job is 2 months OVERDUE and in shambles.

    She has her property back.  The job was 70 percent done.  Customer was not happy with the job.  We were the 3rd contract company she hired.  She fired use in the middle of the job.  She is also in the process of taking us to small claims court.

    I am rejecting this response because:



    He did not give me my property back.  He is lying.  He was not fired he left the job but I would have ended up firing him because he did a terrible job and did not communicate or show up to do the work when he said he would.  I'm on my third painter because Unique Painting failed and walked out and stole my property.  The first one was fired because he also didn't follow through with the job.  I am taking him to court absolutely.
