    To Whom It May Concern:I purchased a timeshare from Stormy Point on March 8, 2015, during a two-hour sales presentation in ********. I understood the agreement as presented, including the ability to exchange my timeshare for a stay at other resorts. However, every time I attempted to make a reservation, I was informed that the resorts were fully booked, making it impossible for me to use the ************ addition to this remaining timeshare, I was promised that two of my other timeshares would be sold. A salesman, **** ******* *************), assured me over the phone that they would secure high-value sales for these properties. Unfortunately, they did not follow through on their promise, and I ultimately had to pay out of pocket to get rid of ********, I am left with one remaining account, which I have repeatedly requested to cancel. Despite multiple attempts to communicate my request, I have received no response. The financial burden of this timeshare significantly contributed to my bankruptcy and divorce in 2018 and 2019. Given these circumstances, I can no longer continue with this timeshare, especially since I have never been able to use it.I am hoping that with your assistance, Stormy Point will acknowledge my request and approve my release. Unfortunately, we were unable to make contact with Mr. ********* Because we want our owners to be satisfied, we would like to refer Mr. ******** to reach out to our ****************** by calling **************** to inquire about the deed back program for Stormy Point Village. Mr. ******** should be aware that any past due balances on their dues must be paid for to utilize this program.

    I have been trying to reach the business because I would like to cancel my timeshare, I haven&#**;t used it in over 4 years and don&#**;t plan on using it anymore because my husband can no longer travel. Each time I reach out to the business, I am transferred to a voicemail, and no one ever returns my phone calls.

Fortunately, we made contact with the ********** family and spoke with Mrs. *********** Because we want our owners to be satisfied, we provided her the contact information for her Deeding Coordinator to inquire about the relinquishment process and we have notified the coordinator who reached out to her.

    I am writing to formally file a complaint against Summer Winds, Stormy Point Village. After careful consideration, we have made the decision to cancel our timeshare contract for the following reasons:When we initially invested in the timeshare, I believed it was a financially feasible decision. However, after reevaluating our financial situation, it is clear that this is no longer a sound investment. As a veteran, I receive benefits that have recently been reduced, which has significantly impacted our income and ability to manage the financial obligations associated with this timeshare.While there are unique opportunities at this location, we did not fully anticipate the additional expenses tied to owning a timeshare, especially the continual increases in maintenance fees. I also felt pressured into signing this contract during the initial presentation and now wish to be completely released from it.Given the circumstances, we request the immediate cancellation of our timeshare contract. We kindly ask for written confirmation that you have received this letter and that you provide us with all available options for contract termination as soon as possible.We look forward to your prompt and cooperative response.

We reached out to the ******** family on November 4, 2024, to resolve any issues they may have had. Unfortunately, we were not able to get in touch with the ******** family. Because we want all of our customers to be completely satisfied, we are happy to say that the ******** family may contact our ****************** to start the deed back process for their Stormy Point Village contract as they do not have an open loan. The ****************** can be contacted at **************, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.(EST), and the ******** family will be assigned a Deeding Coordinator and will go over the terms and any maintenance fees and due balances that needs to be paid.

    I am writing to file a formal complaint against Stormy Point Village. My family and I purchased a timeshare with the resort, but we have only been able to use it once. From the beginning, we felt pressured into buying, and we did not fully understand the agreement we were signing.After the purchase, we were shocked to see that the maintenance fees increased by more than 100%, which has made it financially impossible for us to continue paying for the timeshare. As a disabled veteran on a fixed income, this financial strain is simply unsustainable.We would like to exit this timeshare agreement as we are no longer able to keep up with the increasing costs, and we are seeking an amicable resolution to this matter.I look forward to your response and hope for a prompt solution.

    We apologize for hearing that the Segan familys experience with Capital Vacations has been less than stellar. We tried to reach out to the Segan family on October *******, to seek a resolution. Unfortunately, we were not able to make contact with the Segan family. Capital Vacations agents have communicated with the Segan family on multiple occasions about the requirements for exiting their contract. The Segan family state in their complaint that they requested their contract be cancelled. It was explained to the Segan family that they would need to pay their loan in full,pay any outstanding maintenance fees, Club Dues and Facility Fee, and pay the required exit fee; however, the Segan family did not want to pay the requisite fees and balances and, therefore, we are denying their request for cancellation. The Segan family should be aware that their loan will continue to accrue interest and shall remain liable for the debt. We asked the Segan family to please contact our ***************** team at ************** on Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST) about their account.

    Given that I am unable to afford even the regular fees connected to the timeshare, its unrealistic to expect that I could cover an additional payment just to exit this contract. This situation is placing an undue financial burden on me, and I feel its unfair to impose further costs to relinquish ownership.

Consequently, it remains CVs position that there were no violations in connection with the Segan familys timeshare purchases, and the Segan family entered into a legally binding contract with our company and we are not obligated to cancel their contracts.     I want to file a formal complaint against Stormy Point Village regarding the financial hardships I am currently facing in relation to my timeshare contract. I am seeking your assistance in finding a resolution to this matter.I would like to emphasize that my financial situation has deteriorated significantly, and I am unable to afford the financial obligations associated with maintaining this timeshare. Due to personal circumstances, I am unable to utilize the timeshare or effectively address its responsibilities. This has created an immense burden for me, and I am struggling to meet the financial demands of this commitment, especially considering the upcoming expenses associated with my daughter's college education.I strongly believe that it is only fair and reasonable for a reputable and successful company like Stormy Point Village to consider the challenges faced by an ordinary client encountering financial hardships. I have reached out to the company in the hopes of finding an amicable solution to this situation. I am not requesting any special favors; rather, I kindly request that Stormy Point Village explore options to remove my name from the timeshare contract or provide a clear explanation as to why this is not possible.I have made multiple attempts to communicate my circumstances and concerns to Stormy Point Village directly, but have not received a satisfactory response. Therefore, I am turning to the Better Business Bureau for assistance in resolving this matter in a fair and equitable manner.I have attached supporting documentation detailing my financial constraints and the impact this timeshare commitment has had on my overall financial well-being. We reached out to the ********/******* family on June 18, 2024, unfortunately we were not able to speak to them. The only option of owners at Stormy Point Village  to end their ownership is our deed back program, which requires loan and maintenance fees to be paid in full.Unfortunately, the ********/******* family does not qualify due to an open loan and past due maintenance fees. The ********/******* family can call ********* Services at **************, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to discuss account balances and possible settlement options.
