Crosby home improvement did our roof and siding. We are selling our home and the buyers inspector came back with a list of things stating needs to be repaired and installed by a Professional installer. We hired Crosby thinking, full well he knew what he was doing, only to come back and try to up, charge us for other things he did. And now he does not want to fix the issues that his company is caused so to lack of qualified installation people.

To whom it *** concern, I am sorry that this complaint has come across your desk.  I am responding to *************************** siding project.  We were hired to install siding, fascia and soffits June 2023.  After the project was done, Mr. and *************** had some complaints.  I personally went to address these issue to there satisfaction, so I thought.  When I received final payment, it was short $869.00.  When asked about this, ************** replied he felt that was compensation for the issues. I continued to send the unpaid invoice approximately every 30 days with a small late fee for a duration of 4 months.  All invoices, emails and phone calls were ignored.  I went and spoke with a lawyer and in doing so, he recommended filling a lien against the house and sent ************** a letter to that effect.  This still returned negative results.  Since receiving this new issue just last week, April 1, 2024, I never told **************** would not address his issues, but I did mention that there is still an outstanding balance on his bill. He became furious and thru email threated to call BBB and leave a negative review on ******* both threats he did complete.  I have no problem going back to address any issues that *** or *** not be work related due to my employees, but I would like to get paid in full first.  And this doesn't cover attorney fees, loss of time, or just the aggravation of it all.

I am rejecting this response because: I have a paid in full invoice. Company its not rectifying issues and owning up to there warranty.

this is the invoice sent directly from him to us.

    Sincerely,

The invoice the ************** has upload is correct due to the fact that I had to clear out year end invoices. I would continue getting unpaid invoice messages
if not cleared out. After talking to my lawyer and taking his advice of filing a lien on the property, I felt there was no more need to send these to the client.
So now that ************** has reached out with more complaints, I wanted to make him aware that there is still a unpaid balance of $869.00. I have never
told ************** via phone or email that I would not address the siding issues if it was a labor warranty. The siding has slid in place a bit, likely due to all the
high winds we have been getting, the electrical issue is not our vault or something I can fix. If memory serves me right, ************** is a certified electrician with
Sparky's Electric. To educate everyone here involved, my invoice that I upload shows that I made deductions. The ***** vents were originally white and were
installed, ************** was upset and wanted a matching color, so he purchased new ones, on his own, and we removed the installed siding and ***** vent in
order to install the one he wanted. So I deduct the difference in the price of the ***** vents and a cable box, which wasn't in use, but I made the deductions
anyway. At the end, Mr. ***** *************** deducted the full amount of the ***** vent that they purchased, the cable box and a section of aluminum fascia wrapping
that they wanted us to include during the project but said it should have been included and was not paying for it. Another note to be made is that the last phone
conversation ************** and I had, while using profanity, he replied "we are finished, you are paid in full, do not ever set foot on my property again". If we receive
payment of $869 in full, and have permission from ************** to enter the premises, I will personally fix the siding issue that will take less than 10 minutes, as well
as lift the lien from the home and will honor the future homeowners the same labor warranties.

Thank you BBB for helping in this unfortunate event.

I wanted to clarify that I never used profanity when discussing our paid invoice or in any of my responses to the business owner. Nor did we ever tell the business owner not to step foot our our property. We have provided a paid invoice from the business owner and would like to get the repairs completed per the inspection and from our understanding these are warrantied repairs. Can you please provide a date of when this will be completed. Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:
What the business owner states is not true. I did not use any profanity in any conversations in relations to this complaint. Nor did I ever tell the business owner he could never return to our property. I have provided a paid invoice and would like the items listed on the inspection report I provided. I did not request the business owner to fix the outlet only the siding by the chimney and the soffit. Can we please schedule a time for you to come out and fix. This is per the warranty that was provided when we signed the contract. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

Good morning I received an email two days ago that this case was closed but it looks like it's reopened because Mr ***** is continuing to argue in circles. I am sticking to my previous conversation once funds are paid for the completed job that we did once before I will take care of any issues that was per the contract. Currently I am on a mission trip with our local church in ****** and do not return until the 24th of April. So once the remaining funds are paid I will lift the lien, and give him a paid receipt, and be there the same or very day to address any issues.

I refuse to continue this argument, and I employ the Better Business Bureau to take care of this matter as we are members of them and they need to stop this conversation from going back and forth.

I was wondering if you have a signed contract for the charges you are referring. If so, can you please provide.

This is the follow up of the comments that ******************* has accused and stated,  I had hired him for multiple projects over the years. Mostly replacing roofing. I do wish I would had done more research on Crosby background of projects. We had him come back multiple time to repair and fix poor shotty work that his so called professional installation teams that spoke no English. Very hard to communicate with. What was being done was not what ***** and I had agreed appon in the beginning. The guys were putting siding over the boards that I paid extra to have removed and new wood put into place. Then Crosby did not order enough material. So I took it app-on myself to go get more material so his guys would not stop working waiting on more material. Which Crosby stated it was not needed. When they got to the ***** vents, Crosby decided to again go cheap on material and bought white cheap vents. I told him I wanted the matching vents to the trim colors. He said they would have to be special ordered. I called roofersmart where Crosby bought material. Roofersmarf said yes they were in stock. ***** with Crosby said that was going to be out of my pocket. Because he already bought the white vents. So I went to roofersmart and purchased them myself. So after I picked them up and brought them back to my house, ***** said he was going to charge me for putting them up. Mind you Im already a bit upset that he was going cheap on our vents and not matching the more expensive trim that we went with. As the project was going we started finding multiple things not done properly. We had ***** come back out to the house to resolve these other issues. Now that everything is said and done to his agreement and our liking. He sent us a paid in full invoice. He did not want to warrant anything else without getting compansated. This is where he was trying to add onto our already paid in full invoice. With that being said this issue is unresolvable with Crosby company. I would not recommend having this company do anything at your home or anyone you know.

I hired a company to come repair and replace defective siding and fasia where it was not installed properly. The company stated to my wife and I both, the work that was done was not a qualified installation company for this. He even pointed out that Crosby company cut out the electrical box from the wall and just pushed it back into the wall. Yes that also was the work that the Crosby company had done.

    untrustworthy company.
