I am writing to formally file a complaint against Spinnaker Resorts concerning our timeshare ownership with French Quarter. We are requesting to relinquish ownership due to several pressing issues. From the outset, we felt significant pressure to make this purchase, which has ultimately proven to be of no benefit to us. We have not utilized any of the services associated with our timeshare and have no intention of doing so. Continuing to pay increasing fees for a timeshare that we will not use is financially unacceptable.Affordability is a major concern driving our request. The costs associated with this timeshare have far exceeded our initial expectations, making it increasingly difficult for us to manage. Although we have paid off the mortgage, the maintenance fees, which were around $200, have doubled over the years. As retirees living on a fixed income, this situation has become untenable. Additionally, we have encountered medical issues that prevent us from traveling, further exacerbating our financial difficulties. I, *****, have had to take on a part-time job to make ends meet.We have made four attempts to sell this timeshare but were unfortunately scammed out of nearly $6,000 in the process. Even ********* has refused to take it back at no cost. We were misled and told that this would be a great investment. This claim was particularly appealing to us, as we do not travel frequently due to my wifes health *********** a result, we have no choice but to request your assistance in relieving us of this burden. We can no longer afford to pay for this timeshare that we have not utilized, and we fear that if this situation continues, our children will inherit this debt when we are gone. We kindly request that Spinnaker Resorts allow us to deed back this ownership without incurring any further charges. We can no longer afford this obligation, as it exceeds our financial means as retirees living on fixed incomes. We appreciate your attention to this matter.
