Loto Lift sold me a lift a year and a half ago. I had issue with the lift failing and they kept telling me that this was normal. About 6 weeks ago the lift failed again this time flooding my boat and costing me $45,000 in damages. They are not taking responsibility and not helping with either fixing the lift or replacing my boat. They are negligent with this and blaming others for the issue. The lift is still under warranty.I have email correspondence I can send

    Business Response

    Date: 03/18/2025

Customer purchased a new lift in June of 2023. He stated he had never owned a lift before so we provided extra help and instruction. In February of 2024 we received a call that the lift was going down. After dispatching a service crew and performing all tests and checks there were no issues found with the lift. We advised again that lifts have to be checked on and air added with temperature fluctuations. There was no issue with this lift found or communication or issue from customer for a whole year when he reached back out in February of 2025 and stated his lift had gone down again during a winter storm. We again dispatched a service crew and again found no issues with our lift system, but did find that the lift was not being raised properly and appeared to be only aired up some of the way in what appeared to be a clearance issue with the boat and dock. We advised him if he wanted to look further to contact the control unit company. To our knowledge he did not want to follow that procedure and had failed to register his warranty with them. There is no known issue with the lift and we have done everything we can on our part to make sure that is the case.

The lift was sold June 2023 and the warranty is located on the invoice.  At no point did LotoLift tell me to register anything.  When I buy a lift I am buying all parts from the company.  I really don't care what OEM products are part of the lift.  I paid LotoLift and the warranty is under LotoLift.  If they would have told me I have to register their parts with other companies I would have had concerns with the warranty.  There is no verbiage or any correspondence about me having to register their parts for the warranty to work.  I also spoke with First **** the control box company and they told me that the registration is what LotoLift does and that lift owners do not register the control box.  Also, the box was purchased by Lotolift in 2020 so the warranty from First**** to LotoLift would already be out of warranty BEFORE the lift was installed.  I am confident that LotoLift sold me a used control box.

In Jan of 2024 when I complained of the lift dropping 5-6 feet they came out and said that the tested everything and couldn't find an issue.  I was under the impression that when they said everything is included the control box which is part of the lift and warranty.  They did not test the box.  They should have had their OEM, First**** come and test the box.  They also did not pressure test it and if they did they would have found the failed ball valve.  But the cut corners and made up an excuse about cold air.

In Feb 2025 it happened again.  This time totaling my boat.  They said the same thing.  When they called First**** they said to me that the box was never registered from LotoLift, and that the box is 5 years old, voiding a warranty.  They also told me that LotoLift did not want to pay for them to come and test the box.  I was able to have them come and test the box and First**** found a failed ball valve.  Since it is out of warranty, and never registered by the lift company, that they are not responsible for this.

The accusations about me not raising the boat is a lie.  I bubbled out the lift every time, and I have no clearance issues.  Lotolift saw the boat lowered on the lift in Feb ******************************************************* it!  The algae was from the **** boat was in the water!

This is neglect on LotoLift.  They are responsible.  I bought the lift from them.  The warranty is on the invoice from them.  They are making ridiculous excuses to avoid the damages on my new boat.  If this is not resolved, I will sue them as well as damaging there reputation in the lake community.  Once people find out they won't back their warranty and that their OEM parts are my problem with them it will destroy their business.  I am not stopping until I get resolution.  This is a blatant failure on their part.  I will not stop.
