I took some pictures while inspecting other work projects this past weekend and as you can see from the photos, not s single stump has been removed. Additionally, my original request was to leave no trees or their attendant branches hanging directly over the house/roof infrastructure. From the below photo, can we not remove any of the cedar branches meeting my exact description? Please let me know when you’ll be able to return and complete the job — thanks and you can reach me directly via this email or my cell (*************.

    Business Response

A sub contractor doing interior as well as exterior work on the property originally contacted our company for tree removal, trimming, as well as stump grinding proposal/ estimate. I presented the estimate directly to **** ****** - whom I assume shared with homeowner (*** *****. This estimate was very specific including pictures as well as a map scheme of the property describing in great detail what was proposed to be done. **** ****** approved the work and I go it on the schedule. On the scheduled date, we happened to have our stump grinding crew running in the same area so I asked them to go to the ******* **** job after tirmming/ removal crew was done with their work. As far as I knew, the complete job including stump grinding was completed, so we invoiced the total job. Job was paid for in full. 4-5 weeks later *** **** called the office and was immediately aggressive with my daughter on the phone as I was in the background- I took over the phone call and told him we did all work as stated on the WorkOrder. I also told him that I will go by and double check to make sure next time that I am in that area. I did go by the property and noticed that the stumps were not done, we contacted **** ****** and apologized for the mix-up and assured him that we will get it done. We did send the crew over to grind all stumps listed on the WorkOrder within the next few weeks. Apparently my stump crew did not grind 2 old stumps that were not on the original WorkOrder, so *** **** called again and was very aggressive implying we do not know how to run a business properly. I apoloigzed and told him we would get it taken care of. He asked me to bid some more work at the property and I did. He called to discuss the estimated job with me and got aggressive immediatley implying I should have already done some of this work in previous WorkOrders, I respectfully told Mr. **** that I do not want to look at or do any work for him ever again and hung up the phone. I sent a crew to grind the 2 remaining stumps that were not on the original WorkOrder and declined Mr. ****'s current estimate in our software and plan to not pursue any future work with him. We have hundreds of very happy customers in this area and nor my personnell needs to deal with people like this after we have tried everything to be understanding.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: there are two sides to every story and I furnished absolute proof substantiated with photos and his own invoice, erroneously claiming to have done that which he didn't. Instead, the tree service owner gave a woefully inadequate response, to say nothing of months after the fact and replete with opinion vice fact.  Not once did he accept culpability for his shoddy work, and had the audacity to argue with me, when in point of fact he was wrong.  If he'd only admit he's factually incorrect, and that I was poorly served as a customer, I'd be willing to drop this complaint. I have no interest in ever obtaining his lackluster tree services in the future.

    Sincerely,

    ****** ****
