I started winter 2022 which starts January time. Before starting we had went over everything from classes to financial aid. They informed on multiple occasions that my schooling for the entire duration of the time I will be there will be fully paid for and that I would owe nothing. I had received a **** ***** that was around a little over 6 thousand due to be an independent and wife. With the benefit of earning the ***** *********** which was informed to me would give me half off my classes which originally the classes are over 200 hundred dollars but with the scholarship is over 100 dollars. These two together would pay off my school completely with leaving me money that was left over from the **** ***** even when paying for my books and school supplies. Now after attending the school I had to withdraw due to some reoccurring issues that were affecting my progress which lead to me feeling like this school was not the right fit for me anymore. I started the second trimester around end of may during the second week I tried contacting my advisor but there was no answering for three weeks I tried reaching out to get a hold of someone to atleast help me with the withdraw process and to go over the information and steps. When I finally got a hold of them they informed me that I would need to get a hold of financial aid to go over everything and that she would be able to start the forms for the process. Now after everything they informed me that I owe over 1800 hundred dollars after going back and forth they would not give me a straight answer on where that amount was coming from even with the return check I would still owe 1000 dollars. I even got a breakdown of the payments to everything and it showed I still didn’t owe anything. I got after a couple of weeks of no contact a letter in the mail stating the cost and that I owe over 1400 dollars. Now they are stating that each class is 825 dollars which is 8 times the amount owed. Which was not apart of the agreement.

Thank you for highlighting the great scholarships that Logan offers which provides 45% off of tuition. Logan’s Financial Aid Office had specific conversations with the student regarding this matter. While the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) prohibit Logan University from sharing student specific details through this avenue, the University did follow institutional, as well as Federal student aid guidelines, to remain in compliance. The student may not agree with the outcome in this matter, however granting these kinds of requests can compromise the integrity of our aid programs.
