I joined Summit Rejuvenation program. I utilized their services. I then decided to cancel. They said I needed to come in to cancel, which I did. I spoke to an employee in Jan. 2022. I called them to first correct the issue in July 2022. When I alerted them of the issue, there were additional issues. They couldn't find my info, they couldn't find my chart, all the while I am still being charged. It took an additional 3 months for them to find my info and cancel the subscription, after multiple calls. 1x/every other week for 3 months. In October they agreed to refund my money Jan-Oct. They refunded only 7 out of the 10 months they overcharged me. I have been calling and texting since Oct 2022 to get the additional refund. The 3 months they haven't returned I was using a now inactive card. They have repeatedly told me they will call me, take care of this, get back with me, refund my money. They have not. I don't like having to complain about a small business as they are the backbone of our country. I, personally, am a small business owner myself. I understand mix *** and mistakes. I also understand the importance of correcting them.

I was a customer at *****************************************. On my first visit I was told it would be 100$ flat for the lab work. Fast forward several months and I am receiving a bill for 1100$ from ****************** for the lab work. When I addressed it with Summit they first told me to ignore it and that it was a mistake on Southeasts part. When I continued to get bills from Southeast, Summits story changed. Summit told me to pay the bill to ensure it didnt go to collections and that they were attempting to settle the 1 million dollar patient balances with a 30k dollar amount. Summit also told me if they couldnt settle with Southeast, they would be taking them to court and I, as a Summit client, would be named and reimbursed for any payments made to Southeast. Basically Summit acknowledged that the bill was a mistake based off of a contractual disagreement between them and Southeast. I am still recieving bills from Southeast to this day and my services were rendered in April of this year. I have sent numerous certified proof of debt letters to Southeast and Summit, where neither have come forth with documentation stating my responsibility to this OBSCENE bill. I am just a few unfortunate phone calls away from contacting a lawyer myself to handle this. I did request and receive al l documentation I signed from Summit in my account. At no point did I sign anything taking financial responsibility for the services rendered with them nor did I sign such a document with ******************. On top of that extremely shady billing process, I had also been billed for 2 months in a 1 month period and this was 3 months after I had cancelled my account. The women who work the front desk have half eaten food all over the counter, use vulgar language casually and are terrible at drawing the 1100$ blood. I have seen other reviews of customers having the same billing issue and Summit shows zero empathy or support. This is a shady place and I 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND visiting any of their locations.

I went to summit rejuvenation services in April 2022 for hormone replacement treatment. I was told that they’d be drawing blood and sending it to a place that my insurance takes. They charge me $100 just to draw the blood and they asked me for my insurance card. I was told insurance would not cover everything.
Come May and I get a bill from ********* hospital for $1741. Summit sent it to a place out of network
I called Summit rejuvenation and was told it was a mistake and to email them the bill so they can process it again. I emailed them 7/18/22 and Summit replied that they contracted with a person that was not employed by ********* hospital and I had to pay to pay the bill. They apologized saying they would try to talk to the vendor and lower the bill. But I needed to pay.
Reading reviews. This is NOT the first time Summit has done this. they seem to be in cahoots with some labs to scam people.
I emailed Summit saying that ithey are responsible and they need to take responsibility. They sent my bloodwork to **** ******* to a place out of network, when I have insurance. They said a manager would called me. I have emailed and called several times and nobody has returned my calls. I’m stuck with a $1744 bill dues to their incompetence and dishonesty.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/30/2022

In response:  This complaint is valid however it should be directed to ********* Hospital as they are the entity that is billing our patients.

We have no control or say over who or why our patients are being billed. We do not have an "in house" lab so we are forced to use outside lab sources.

Summit tried to keep open lines of communication with our patients as the issues with the billing from ********* Hospital were being discovered.

We also tried to come to an agreement with ********* to lower or eliminate the bills that were being sent but could not come to an agreement. This was also relayed to our patients.

It is a very unfortunate situation for all the parties involved but we are not the correct recipient of this complaint.

    Customer Answer

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

SUMMIT  CHOOSE  to Send the Bloodwork to ***** **** Hospital,  they do not have an in house lab but they  asked for insurance cards so they could send the labs to IN network providers. I'm aware not everything was going to be covered by insurance but They choose to send my lab work to a place where my insurance would cover nothing. I have ***** ********* and they cover a lot of Local labs. why send the lab work to **** when they are local labs that are IN network?

You stated " In the last two weeks, it has come to our attention that the agreement made with **** hospital was made by a third-party vendor, who did not have authority to be making decisions about billing status, as they were not employed by ****"  what kind of business is that negligent? you send several patients to that lab not even knowing if they were  in network with the insurance or if your contact worked there.

A  quick ****** search shows you have done this before to some of your other clients. It's not the Hospital's mistake because YOU chose to send the lab work there!

You have not tried to reach out to me, you have not called me or replied to my emails after I stated A manager has not called me back and that's very unprofessional. You need to fix your mistakes and take care of your clients instead of shifting the blame to the hospital and ghosting clients.

    Sincerely,

    ****** *******
