I took items (a pair of cream pants and cream blazer; separates ) to be dry cleaned which I paid $11.25 roughly. They were to be picked up in a few days (Tuesday). Upon my return, the items were stained. The pants looked dirty (more so than when I took them) and the blazer was a beautiful hue of pink. It apparently had been cleaned with something that stained it. The clerk apologized and explained they would try to have the items retreated. I retrieved the pants sometime later maybe a week or so. Over several months I was told that they would work to "fix" my blazer, but it still has a pink cast to it. After several attempts, multiple visits (June 29, July 23, Aug. 19, Sept. 24, Nov. 7th), and an email on Sept. 12th with no reply; *** (the shop owner) agreed on Nov. 7th to cover up to 10 times my cleaning cost totaling $60, which is based on their damage policy. She explained she would mail a check (which was never received) then a week later stated (via text message) that she would give me $20 for the jacket. The dry cleaning was $6, so less the cost of dry cleaning, which leaves $14 for my damaged blazer. I think that it is unreasonable to offer me $20 instead of abiding by your original agreement. This could have been resolved several months ago. With the time I've waited and the effort Ive put into returning to the cleaners and following up on my items, this has taken a toll on my mental and emotional health. It has seriously created undue stress. I would appreciate *** standing by what she agreed to. Otherwise, Id like the replacement cost of my jacket $125 and the loss of gas and time $75.
