  We hired New Beginnings Construction and Remodeling to run propane lines and install two ventless fireplaces in our home. We had high hopes, but they were quickly dashed. ***** from New Beginnings Construction and Remodeling apparently failed to communicate our needs to the subcontracted plumbing crew. As a result, they did nothing we had asked for.When I spoke with the owner of the plumbing company, **** *******, he told me I should have made my expectations clear. I did to New Beginnings Construction! The project manager, *****, was never on-site to ensure the project ran smoothly. The plumbers drilled four holes in the wrong location into the side of our brick house. We had to hire a new plumber to fix everything New Beginnings had done incorrectly.We also learned from the fireplace company that the inserts we selected were never even ordered. Despite paying $1,000 to start our project, we recently received an additional bill for $1,200, which we are being told is for electrical work. We had the electrical work rebid by another local company, and it would have only cost us $1,000. I also asked for the contact information of the electrician, but New Beginnings Construction and Remodeling will not provide it.When I spoke to the owner of New Beginnings Construction and Remodeling, he insisted we still owe the money, even though the entire project has been a complete disaster. We are furious that we're being asked to pay more for such terrible service. I would not recommend this company and strongly urge anyone to think twice before hiring them for any job!

  At New Beginnings Construction we take all our jobs very seriously and try to work through any concerns that arise. We made an error on where the work in the brick was done initially, tried to rectify that and the customer said she was ok with what was done. We fixed it so that you could not see where the mistake was made. All repair costs were covered by New Beginnings.We want to state that we did go out of our way to make this customer satisfied and that was genuinely not possible. The work was done according to code, the customer wanted it done differently but what she wanted was not up to code or safe. We did go over it with them prior to moving forward with the work. We also had it drawn up and approved by the customer before any work commenced. It was only after the work had been done that they didnt like how it was placed. We also went above and beyond by agreeing to let the customer out of the initial contract, which was much higher originally, and provided some items at our cost. All the plumbing materials were given to the customer and not billed for. We even went as far as getting our vendors to give the customer her materials at our cost to get the project done within their budget.We spent several hours in face-to-face meetings and trips to vendors to plan projects and pick out materials and deal with concerns that we are not recovering from the customer. The customer always seemed happy when meeting with us face to face.We did have one scheduled meeting with the customer at their house that they did not show for that.We have reached out to the customer to write off everything except costs paid for work already completed and we have not been paid as of yet.

  Incredibly happy with our ensuite bathroom/closet and flooring remodel by New Beginnings. ****** and his team were completely professional throughout our project, from start to end. Excellent communication and project management. The work was done in a timely fashion to a very high standard. A few small issues/details that we wanted changed at the end of the project were fixed within 24 hours of communication to our requirements. We hired New Beginnings to fix and finish a project that a previous contractor let us down on and they communicated honestly and thoroughly about the work that needed to be done and why it was necessary. Our new bathroom and closet are exactly what we requested, with excellent and high-quality workmanship, and completed within a defined and agreed budget. I would absolutely recommend New Beginnings to any other homeowner without reservation.

  We needed subfloor repair in our old Cape Cod home in sunroom/studio. Older home remodeling is challenging. NB did subfloor inspection then installed and sanded yellow pine plank flooring. We finished the floor ourselves. Additional damage under the exterior door threshold became evident in the middle of the project which required a new door install to fix. NB scheduled us in two days to help us stay on target with our floor finishing. Excellent workmanship and guidance throughout the project.
