    I didn't think I had a home inspection. The realtor set it up. I cancelled it. And then the realtor set it up again. I paid cash for the house so I didn't think I had to have an inspection. It was a brand new house. I gave permission for it to be done. I didn't get a copy of the inspection. I asked for a copy of it and I finally received it in January 2022. When I went to the closing, I learned that the home inspection hadn't been paid. The realtor paid the home inspector. They gave money out of the cost of the house to pay the realtor. The house has two bad bathrooms; one has a chip in the tub and glue down the wall. The other has a shower that isn't level. A bad back door; it won't close easily, it's a sliding door. It is not level. The whole frame of the door was incorrectly measured. I had to have a whole new door put in. The home inspection was $450.00. I tried calling this business for months and his number was not working; neither was his website.

    They ordered the inspection.  Buyer approved the order.  I did the inspection.   I do not feel a refund it warranted. It is the buyer's responsibility to make sure they understand the procedures.

    I am rejecting this response because: It was inspected but there is a list of items that were incorrectly evaluated.  It was overwhelming the amount of things that were wrong that should have been captured during his inspection.  It was not done properly.  I have documentation for all of the items that needed to be done. This was 10's of thousands of dollars that needed to be done.

    Sorry that she wasn’t happy with the inspection. This was a brand new house which was inspected numerous times by the city of Columbia while it was being built and by me after it was built. All the systems were inspected and she was provided with a written report prior to her purchasing the home. If she has a complaint it should be with her builder which provided her with at least a year warranty on the home.

    If he walked in the house, he didn't do a true inspection.  He didn't go into the attic.  If he would have, he would have seen there was no insulation.  This is why it was so cold in my house.  I had to crawl up the attic ladder and I saw there was no insulation.  The house would've never got warm.  None of the door frames were measured correctly.  The door actually leaking.  When you put your hand over the electrical plugs, you can feel the cold air.  I should've never purchased this house.
