On 7/29/23 my car broke down on the side of the road. I had it towed to the dealership for repair. They ran diagnostics testing and said it needed a new battery, alternator, and PCM. I have a deluxe extended warranty on my car and my warranty covered everything. After my warranty coverage, I was charged $800 out of pocket. I told them to go ahead and repair my car. The day that it was finished, they called me and told me that my engine was locked up. I had a recent oil change, and the oil was good. They dont know why my engine was locked up. I am filing this complaint because it is unlikely that all of this was wrong with my car at once and that they didnt know my engine was locked up prior to the repairs that they did. I was advised by another mechanic that this is a highly unlikely scenario. I would like this to be investigated because I dont trust that they are being honest with me about the repairs needed on my car.

Don't go to this dealer, they play the game when you give them your keys to value your trade and when you aren't satisfied with the amount they offer you , the deal, they won't give your keys back . don't be held hostage like I was, I had to keep insisting that I wanted my keys for I could go .

It's been 11 months and I still don't have a drivable car. They originally sold me a car ($21,249 sales price) an employee wrecked and didn't disclose. Still awaiting them to refund me for the repairs I paid for, but they aren't responding. I was told that I cost them 7 grand because of this. ***** how their employee wrecking a car and lying about it is my fault, but alas. They sold me another car, put 4 new tires on it, installed 3 of them incorrectly so they leak. They lost my loan documents 4 times and I had to come back in to sign each time. They told me an SUV going 75 mph might "be too fast for that car." They told me that a hard shifting transmission was normal. They threw away my keychains, including a tracking device, in the trash can of the business next door AFTER I requested they return them and was told they didn't know where they were. Im still awaiting a motor mount replacement and was assured it is safe for me to drive with a bad motor mount. They say they are awaiting that part, and it is delayed... yet it is available at every single local part store, that I confirmed with their shop they use. They're awful, they lie, and they will say whatever they need to so they can take your money. Do yourself a favor and avoid buying anything from the dealership. They gave me 4 different loaner vehicles that I had to return due to major mechanical issues. Their cars are junk, their shop is a disaster, and their GM just wants to blame everyone instead of taking ownership of their mistakes.

I had to manage this process from start to finish. From ordering the part, constantly following up to see if the part was in, to scheduling the service. The process took over a month. Just to get a visor replaced. When I asked if the repair was covered under warranty, the only response was "I doubt it". It wasn't looked up at all. When the repair was complete, I noticed the tech wrote the repair took 0.8 hours. I asked if there was a minimum labor charge of an hour and was told I was charged for the amount of labor that was conducted, 0.8 hours. When I pointed out that the time they pulled the vehicle into the bay to the time it was returned to the parking lot was only 20 minutes, I was told that I was charged for the expedient service. Someone else may have taken 2 hours so they saved me money. I wasn't even at the dealership for 0.8 hours. Machens is ripping customers off.
