I have review** the business' response and am rejecting it because:

Whoever wrote the letter on behalf of Missouri Eye Consultants is mis-characterizing my actions and missing the point of my argument as I have hope I will show in this letter below.

If I though you guys were selling fake ***-***s, then why did I give you the money?  That makes no sense.  However, when I see that you guys are serving your own interest and not mine. Then I must verify what you are doing. The way I did that was contacting ***-*** directly.  No, I dont trust you.  Let me explain why.
When I tell you guys before I even arrive that I want these certain glasses with transition lens.  My expectation is that you are going to tell me everything under the sun about *** *** transition lens.  Not steer me into some in house lens and tell me how they are just as good and that Im only paying for a name.  Your sales tactics arent helpful to me.  I had to stop the optometrist and ask her about the lens.  She was moving me right down the road with your in-house lens.  She talk** me into it.  Yes, Im guilty of that for sure.
After the purchase, when I research lens and find out differences.  Now, I dont trust you because you have mislead me to serve your own interests.  I email** you this to you.  (See email dat** January 30th) You tell me how the optometrist is going to call me.  (See email dat** January 31st).Unfortunately, she never call**.  And why would she?  She got what she want**.  Talking to me only stops what she want**.
Now the responsibility is on me to determine what else isnt on the up and up.  So, I ne** to verify that you even work with *** *** period. I ne** to do this because you dont have my interests in mind.  You have your own interests in mind.  I contact** *** *** and ask** about my order.  My thinking being, I will deal directly with *** *** so there is zero chance of any more silliness.
I contact** *** ***, but they cant help me because I dont have the order number.  Missouri Eye Consultants has the order number.  I call Missouri Eye Consultants and ask for the order number.  I tell the lady I want to be sure Im getting legitimate stuff.  Missouri Eye Consultants wont give me the order number because I us** my insurance.  My thinking is, my insurance, my order that Im paying for.  I contact** the Missouri attorney general consumer complaint to cut through this mess.  Because I want to be sure Im getting real *************** The Missouri attorney general office refers the complaint to board of optometry. (See letter dat** Feb 5th). Im contact by the investigator from the board of optometry.  I explain** the problem to her and cc-** you guys in on the email too.  (See email** dat** February 9th)
Below is what I told you the investigator.
Ms. *****, I complain** to the Missouri ************************ (cc-2025-02-00375), and they forward** the complaint to you (cc-2025-02-00375). The reason the ***** ***** is list** on the complaint is because he runs the office.  The complaint is with the optical tech and concern with back of the house operations. Before I dive into this, please know that ***** ***** is fine.
Before I even arrive at the office, I send an email saying that I want some ray ban glasses with transition lens.  I give the model number of the glasses.  (See email** January 26th, it is buri** in the email chain).  Im in the consultation with the optometric technician.  (The lady who puts the little box on your face to look through.)  We are looking at frames I want** via ******* website and retail price.
At the end of this I ask her, Are these ray-ban lens or will they say ray-ban or some generic lens The question was to that effect.  She tells me all the lens are the same, you are just paying for a name, *** ban has you do a bunch of extra stuff.  So, I agree.  I pay for the glasses.  Later that day at home I get to looking into transition lens via ChatGPT.  I learn about the different variants of transition lens.

Now, Im ****** b/c she sold me into these generic lenses.   This is why Im upset.

Deceptive Sales Practice I originally intend** to purchase Ray *** transition and was misl** into accepting generics.  It is my understanding that this is misrepresentation.
Quality Differences Exist While I cant speak for ***-***, I would think it is fair to say they have enough patient attorneys and corporate staff that will swear on a stack of hundr**-dollar bills about the differences from generics. More point**ly XTRActive transition lens because they will darken in the car while I drive!  Which are the lens I hope to get.
I was deni** an inform** choice.  The optometric technician stepp** on my choice.  If Im asking you Hey are these ******* lens.  IT ISNT YOUR CUE to tell me how they arent worth it.  Then conveniently talk about your house brand instead.  I felt mislead.

I email Missouri Eye Consultants office that night (see email dat** January 30th, 2025) and left a voice message.  Now, everything they touch regarding the glasses I question.  My mindset is that I have paid a bit of money for glasses that doctors office want** not what I want**.  In short, Im really not happy with my experience.

    Sincerely,

    ****** *******
