      7/29 (Today) I spoke with ********* the assistant manager before I signed their contract after paying something more than $100 on phone credit card, asking her to cancel and get a full refund. ********* said I can review the documents, call her back, push "2" on the phone line to get her with no problem to get my refund (in 3-5 days). I have been calling and calling and only get voicemail. She's not letting me cancel and get a refund.

      Re: No Deposit Return - Manhattan Mini Storage: *** *** **** ******* *** ***** ** ***** * **** ******** 
      On March 31,2022 I left my storage unit (Unit 3-2-50). At the time, I asked the manager on duty about my deposit when he didn’t bring it up. He then said it would be returned online.

      It’s now July 17, 2022. I haven’t received my deposit.

      I called the office and emailed several times. After dozens of calls with no response,

      On June 14,2022 I went down to the facility in person. I spoke to ****** who said he sorted out the problem and I’d get a check in a week or a bit later. (I didn’t write the amount but it was approximately $554 )

      Sent another letter. Finally received a call from the manager ******* on July 5. She promised to get back to my on July 12. Haven't heard from her..

      This is totally irresponsible. In addition to the deposit, I think it only fair that late fees are attached.

      Hello, Upon reviewing the account we found a deposit in the amount of $326.00. March's rent was $94.00 (the last month space was occupied). The remaining deposit on the account is $232.00. The Regional Manager has put in the refund request and the customer should see this within 5-10 business days. Thank you!

      I want clarification of the total deposit amount. The March fee was paid in the beginning of the month prior to leaving so not sure why it's mentioned. Also, the company charges a $20 monthly late fee. Therefore, I think it's only fair that I be paid a $80 late fee. Thank you for ypur attention.

      I only received $232.00. The company deducted my monthly $94 payment which was paid in full before I left the facility. My receipt from the co

       showed deposits of $326.00 and $128.03.

      I am rejecting this response because:   If you look at the Tenant Audit History I received when I left, "Currently Due" was $0.00. Meaning, I paid my monthly fee before I left. Still don't know why you're not honoring the full amount due.


      I realize some info was lost when ManMin records merged with StorageMart. But I'm offended by your rude, cavalier treatment of a customer you wronged. This problem concerns a past due refund from March 31. Plus no apology. I realize I'm no longer a customer and therefore not important. But realize I'm in NYC where storage is a constant discussion. I'm often asked about my facility. I used to recommend you but certainly no longer.

      I rented a unit # 1-8-8 on March 5,2018 at Manhattan Mini Storage ,LLC #40Manhattan Mini storage *** **** ***** ********** ***** ** *****.

      The rent was $ 36 per month.Throughout the years the rent increased to $56.00.
      I paid on March 5,2018
      first month pro-rated rent for March 2018 $ 24.96
      last month rent $ 28.80
      security deposit $ 36.00
      administrative fee $ 25.00
      totaling to $ 114.76

      In February 2022 Manhattan Mini storage was acquired by new company Storage Mart.

      Storage Mart illegally used my security deposit for Value Coverage plan which equals to 9.95 +tax per month
      for months February,March And April 2022, therefore I requested numerous times a refund for the coverage which I didn't need since I already had one.

      I submitted evidence of property insurance along with the moving out notice on to assistant Manager Michell Gasden on April April 8,2022who assured me that the charges will be credited.

      The unit was vacated on April 30,2022.

      My tenant audit history shows that the charges for value coverage plan along with the last month rent were not credited to the credit card VISA ************ after my numerous e-mail inquires on June 29.2022
      and July 5,2022 along with sending the proof of payment in 2018 along with a copy of evidence of property insurance.

      I never received any response from Storage Mart.

      I am requesting a credit refund to card ending ********** for last month rent and value coverage plan..

      We have reviewed the account, and we found the
      following:


      Customer ******* ******** provided proof of insurance in the month of April 2022.
      The $36.00 Security
      Deposit was applied to the account as a credit.
      The $36.00 credit cover
      the rent (partially) for the month of March 2022.
      March 2022 rent was
      $48.00, minus the $36.00, it left a balance of $12.00.
      On March 4, 2022, the
      $12.00 was collected from the credit card in file for Easy Pay.
      There was No Value
      Coverage charge for the month of March 2022. 
      Rent Increase applied to
      the account as of April 1, 2022. Rent went from $48.00 to $56.00.
      April's monthly charges
      were $65.97. This represents $56.00 Rent and $9.97 Value Coverage. 
      Proof of insurance is
      given to *** in the month of April 2022.
      Guest vacated unit on
      April 30, 2022.

       

      On July 11, 2022, even
      though *** does not retroactively credit accounts, a decision was made to
      refund customer last payment which includes rent and value coverage
      charge.
      Refund completed to the
      last credit card customer had in file for easy pay (last four digits
      ****).
      We tried to get in
      contact with customer via phone, but we were not successful. An e-mail was
      sent to customer to notify him of the refund done today.
