My girlfriend was attempting to get a training certification for her job, and asked to use my credit card. She entered in my details for the payment, but the certificate showed my name as well. There was no way to change the name and we have been emailing for days to have this corrected. She needs the certificate to be updated immediately for her job. This company's phone number directs you to their email, but no one responds to their emails.Customer Answer

The certification that I obtained from the American sports and fitness Association is not accredited by the ****. Therefore the certification will not fit criteria to be a credible, personal fitness trainer. I have asked for the refund from the business with multiple emails and they refuse to give me a refund as Ive explained this certification is not a fit for the fitness world.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We have numerous chains of correspondence with *** ****** through our customer support. *** ******** primary complaint is that he was not able to obtain employment at a facility he wished to work at. He believes that he is entitled a refund because we are not affiliated with the ***** We have explained to *** ****** that we have never claimed to be affiliated with the **** and are fully transparent about who we are and are not affiliated with as a company. **** has certified many thousands of fitness professionals throughout ***************** and Internationally. We are endorsed by the largest healthcare insurer in the world (****, an *** company), Insure Fitness Group, ************** (the largest exercise science publishing house in the **), Berxi (a ***************** company) and hundreds of fitness institutions and gym chains (including Crunch fitness with almost 500 locations itself). The organizations listed above, we are affiliated with and endorsed by. We have never claimed **** affiliation or endorsement.
Please see the following attachments:
1.) A search for the term NCCA on our site. It shows no results. We have never claimed affiliated with this organization.
2.) Our FAQ page about employment. We clearly state that we cannot control the hiring practices of outside organizations and all individuals should check with them prior to purchase.
3.) Our product page about employment. We again state that individuals should check with prospective employers prior to purchase. It is on the actual product purchase page.
4.) Correspondence with *** ****** stating that we cannot retract our product, so cannot offer refunds for fraud prevention reasons.
5.) More correspondence with *** ****** explaining to him that we are affiliated with my fitness institutions and gym chains, but cannot guarantee individual employment. That is clearly at the discretion of the management of that institution.
We very clearly state on our site that we cannot offer refunds, as we cannot retract our product. This is stated in multiple places on our site and agreed to prior to purchase. Also, we clearly cannot be held responsible for the hiring practices of outside institutions. We are very clear about this on our site as well, and have stated this in our correspondence with *** ******.
We do value *** ****** as a customer. To help alleviate the primary issue of *** ****** not being hired, and in a good faith effort, we would like to offer *** ****** a 20% coupon for our Fitness Professional Kit. This kit provides essential forms and marketing materials that assist fitness professionals with both their work and in their sales.

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:
I just simply want a refund and do not live near a crunch fitness or even have those in my area. Frustrating that the business cannot act in good faith by not giving a refund. I am also working through a private gym that requires an **** accreditation which American Sports fitness is not accredited by. Just give me at least of the refund at least. I can meet in the middle.
Sincerely,
**** ******Business Response

Accreditation given after online test pass on December 2, 2024. Paid a total of $399 for a certificate to find the service is not accepted by most gyms and groups as a few people have mentioned in reviews both on BBB and elsewhere, and the whole website is essentially fake. BBB reviews and their online testimonials are totally fabricated and they use stock images of people to act like they have good reviews. It is not credible at all which is why I believe I am entitled to a refund. The product descriptions are also fabricated.Business Response

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because they failed to mention their substantial lack of credibility and did not at all address that they are using deceptive tactics and incorrect information to test individuals for their skills that they "issue certification for" - making this service deceptive in a fraudulent way. Their main concern is trying to convince me and the bureau that they are accredited by hundreds of gyms and have partnerships as it is but it means very little once due diligence is done on the actual credibility of their testing and "customer" testimonials. I refuse to be associated with a group who has "certified" me based on deceptive tactics that still don't mean much to MOST gyms and reputable providers for fitness/health, even if they claim "hundreds" do, which could still also be false.
Sincerely,
***** *****Business Response

Yiota,
We appreciate your continued correspondence. As stated previously, we have no control over the hiring practices of other institutions. We do recommend that you check with them prior to purchase to ensure that you are in compliance with their hiring policies and are also a good fit for their facility. We state this on the product page where you purchased, and in our FAQ (as well as in our terms). We have attached screenshots for your convenience. Additionally, we have attached correspondence where you request a partial refund and cite our FAQ about no refunds, clearly showing that you have read it. We have established our reputation and partnerships throughout the industry in our previous response. In a good-faith effort, we are willing to offer you a $50 website credit to be applied towards any future purchase.
