Medlen construction installed sliding glass door for our home. After installation we told BJ Medlen (owner) it was hard to open. He said just spray some lubricant on it and give it some time. Come to find out the crew damaged the adjusters on bottom of door. Sent numerous text messages and ******** messages with no replies or excuses. He BJ Medlen came and looked at door on July 19th. July 20th 2023 he said he was ordering parts from manufacture. Texted owner again on August 13th what is was going to do about door fix it or replace it? No reply. Sent demand letter on 22 August 2023 to either fix or replace door. No reply. This company does not guarantee their workmanship. Doesnt communicate with customers. Definitely would not recommend this company.

Sadly, we purchased a house and Medlen construction was used by the seller to fix portions of the house. The sellers paid the contractor and there were things not done properly (half *****) or things completely not done at all. First things, we noticed there were several things messed up with certain things during our final walk through. The company was called via the realtor at that time he came to fix those things. Instead of repainting over a wall he was supposed to kilz and paint over mold he spray painted the area he never fixed a shower door that he was to fix. There are still several weatherstripping that still needs to be fixed or replaced. This company has yet to respond to my inquiries and its been over a month since we moved in. This company was to put lag bolts into a deck and gave us the run around with what bolts he actually put into the deck. Turned out they half ***** and gave us two inch bolts and they should have been 4 inch plus bolts. This is such a hazard for my family. He then tried, without contacting me, came to my house to remedy the problem and acted as if it never happened (pictured is the bolt put into my deck and the bolt it should have been from the beginning. Ive contacted both my realtor and the sellers realtor to have him fix things he was paid for and its still not done. We had to pay out of pocket to get things fixed that this contractor was already paid to do such a horrible company and I would avoid them at all costs.

We hate that you feel you've had a bad experience. However, once the repairs were done, the house was inspected again and it passed with flying colors. Im sorry you feel more should have been done, however, I did exactly what the inspection report stated needed done. It is unfortunate that you chose to buy the house sight unseen and once arriving, felt like more should have been done. But I can assure you that all inspection items we did were done and passed re-inspection or the property would. It have closed.
