    My sickly mother had recently become homeless, and needed a place to stay for several weeks until she could get into an assisted living facility. She checked into the Days Inn located in ****, ** (************************************************). I paid for 2+ weeks in separate intervals during that time period over the phone . Upon her would-be checkout day, she ended needing an extra day, and she paid for it with her own debt card. However, I noticed that both she and myself were charged for this extra day. I did not authorize them to use my card. When I explained this to the front desk, she said she'd reverse it and it was a "simple mistake," but it would take 7-10 business days to get my money back. I expressed frustration, as this was an illegal action that has put me in a financially stressful situation; that 7-10 days is too long for me to be without my money. I was basically told "it is what it is." This is unacceptable, especially after paying $1,106.02 for my mother to stay there. The fact that both my mother and I were charged for this and nobody knew about it until I brought it to their attention is extremely alarming to me as a service industry professional.

    Hey,

    I have attached Dawn England's folio with this email. We have charged only the exact amount that we are supposed to. We have not charged two credit cards at the same time as the guests suggested. Please let the guest know that we have not authorized multiple charges for the same stay date. We also tried contacting the guest directly but they are not picking up.
