I was never given a written quote, he wanted more money, and none of the work was started, he was paid 1500.00 for complete the flooring, and the stovetop was not connected, and wires that were not grounded. I have contacted him and, he threatened me and stated that if I did not pay him additional monies that he would put a lean on my house. We also, sent him a text message stating was was done and not done, and I did not receive a response. Also, my husband wrote him out a check 160.00. I would like for the job to be finished.

I entered into a verbal agreement to work on the customers kitchen.  I got half the payment after I started, and the job is 95% completed.  The customer returned appliances and stated that there was no more work for me to do.  I have a text message to show proof.  I did not threaten the customer.  I told if she did not pay me it is  my right to file a lien against her property.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

He is lying. The job is not 95% complete, far from it.
    1. Floor step up never completed. He left it unfinished to this day.
After a phone call of him asking for more money, he would not speak to
me. He would speak to my significant other *** and told him he would not
speak to me. I am the homeowner.  I am the one who paid in good faith.
    I
paid him $1500. 11/22/22 for 9 hours of work, believing he would do the
work and do it right. His work is deficient. I will send pictures to
prove it.  2. We found outlets where ground wires were left with open
grounds in 2 outlets. 3. The island is not level. 4. He cut end panels
to cabinets wrong. We had to get them back from him and spent $150. to
have them fixed properly by a Cabinet maker in Pevely. I have the paid
    receipt from him.
    During a phone call, ****
threatened me that he was going to put a lien on my property. He also
told *** when *** went to pick up my 2 ends for these cabinet side
panels that he was going to put a Mechanics Lien for $1500. on my
    property.
    5. The hood has not been put up. He was going to try to hit only one stud.
I questioned him and he didn't like it.
    I
was unhappy about his work and he knew it. I didn't feel as though he
did enough sufficiently to warrant the $1500. I had already paid him.
Let alone pay him more considering the errors he made. And he wanted
    more money at that point!
    After the granite was
installed by ******* ****** on 12/12/22 there was granite dust
everywhere and there was no way anyone could work that next day. That
was the day he wanted to work, per his text to ***.
    He
misinterpreted the severity of the situation about granite dust
permeating my whole house. I'm still cleaning up granite dust.
In my opinion he quit the job and left us in a bind. We have been without a cooktop since November.
    6. Cooktop was never hooked up.
We continue to find more errors in the work he did every day.
    7. The island trim was cut short which we are having to fix.
    8. The quarter round on floor in one place was left unattached.
    9. The door to the pantry sticks, hard to close properly and he worked on that 2 hours.
    Need I say more.
I  have made a complaint to the Attorney General's Office.
    ***************** on 1/1/23.
He is using an address on his business card that
does not reply to our calls.
Will send picture of his business card and will text pictures of the deficient work to you at this number *************
    Thank you for your help

In addition,  I found out today after calling J******** ****** offices, Square One Construction is not licensed to do any Electrical work.
**** ******** is  the one who did the electrical and is the operating manager of Square One Construction.
If you can please help me and tell me my options. I do not want any problems with the county regarding  his negligence in the work he did here. As I have no idea if he got a permit  or that he wasn't licensed to do electrical.
    Thank you

I offered to take $500 off of the job.  I had half a day's worth of work to do.  She doesn't want to pay me or other vendors.  She has been totally unreasonable.

He never offered to take $500 off.  He wanted to add more money to the job.  The job was never finished.
