I have complained about the installation to the company several times. Had a service person come out once and he took care of some of the problems. Called company again and was told it would be scheduled and fixed. Month later no call no one came out, I called again left message, two weeks no response. Called again told someone would call on Monday (today ****) as of yet no call. I want someone out to fix the problems and I would like to get money back if possible because of poor response and lack of concern.Business Response

As of this date, 08-04-2023 they still have not resolved my issues. They have reinstalled three doors twice and one three times. Doors still are not to the standard they profess in their advertising. The doors they are trying to fix were placed on order then placed on hold then ordered, causing a delay of several months. Manufacturing and install are supposed to be one company, delays like this is unacceptable. I give them a ZERO rating. This has all been going on since January 2023.Business Response

On 4/28/21 we signed a contract with Renewal by Anderson for three windows in ** ***** MO out of the ******** ******* branch. In November of 2021 they came out to install the windows. During the installation process the installers determined that they did not have the right color of aluminum trim as stated on the paperwork. They installed two of the 3 windows in an approximate 6 hour period. When they opened up the box with the 3rd window we noticed that the window was a left hand swing instead of a right hand swing window that we ordered as listed on the paperwork. They suggested that they could install the window upside down to make it swing to the right. That would have put the crank for the window at ceiling level. That idea was rejected by us. The installers had to reschedule for the following day which was a Saturday with the correct color of window trim. They arrived the following day approximately 4 hours late with no call. They finished the 2 windows they had installed with the right color trim. We were told by the installers that someone would contact us for the issue with the 3rd window. No one from their office contacted us. We had to contact them. They refused to expedite the re-order of the window and we had to go to the back to the end of the line as if we were a new customer. There was no contact from Renewal by Anderson's ******** ******* branch until the re-ordered window came into their facility. In mid March of 2022 we were contacted that the re-ordered window was in. We set up the install date for the beginning of May 2022. Three days prior to the install date we received a call and they wanted to reschedule some time in July 2022. We refused the scheduling conflict they had and the installers came out on May 3rd, 2022 as originally scheduled. The installers opened the box to inspect the window and again it was discovered that it was made incorrectly for the second time. Again the installers get on the phone to their office and explain the situation. A message was relayed to us that someone from the office would call us in an hour. Again no communication from Anderson to us. We had to reach out to them again to tell them about our displeasure with the situation. We were told someone from Management would be contacting us. There was never any further contact from Anderson until our financing was about to run out within 3 days. Anderson Windows, ******** ******* branch wanted us to release the final payment for the project prior to completing the work. We refused this offer. We were contacted again in January of 2023 and informed that the window was ready to be installed for the 3rd attempt. We scheduled for the beginning of February 2023. The installers came out opened the box and yes it was made incorrectly and for the 3rd time. Again the installers called their office and we were told someone would be calling us within the hour. There was no call until one week later. It was a lady that called us to tell us that the window was re-ordered again. We informed her that we have lost confidence with Renewal by Anderson and just want to pay the remaining balance for the 2 windows that were installed. We no longer want that 3rd window. She promised to pass the information on to Management and call me the following day to see if anyone contacted us. It has been 12 days and we still have not received any further contact from Renewal by Anderson.Business Response

We wish to replace the windows in our townhouse with some that are more energy-efficient. We know, by experience, that Andersen makes great windows. We searched for a company that would do this and found Renewal by Andersen of Greater ********. We called and made an appointment. They sent *********************** out with a sales pitch. They sent ****** _____ to measure for the windows on August 29, 2022. We have a loan with ********, a ******* ***** Company out of **************, **. They are loaning us $35,620, half of which, $17,810 has been paid. So far so good.We are still waiting for our windows. We have called several times to ask why the delay only to receive excuses and empty promises that someone will call back. At this point, we no longer want to do business with this firm. We wish to cancel the contract.Purchase window expires February 19, 2023.Initial Complaint

We ordered windows in May 2022. We were advised there was a delay due to Covid and supply issues. Windows were supposed to be delivered and installed September 2022. We ordered eight windows and seven of the eight were installed properly the large bay window in our living room Arrived with a broken frame, and all of the gas that escapes between the two panes of the large section of the window. The technicians put the window in even though it was broken and spray foam and around the window to hold it in place until the new window could be reinstalled. We have called ******** several times and have not gotten a response so in January 2023 we filed a complaint with Ally lending which is the financial bank renewal by Andersen uses. Technically renewal by Andersen is a breach of contract. could be reinstalled. We have called ******** several times and have not gotten a response so in January 2023 we filed a complaint with Ally lending which is the financial bank renewal by Andersen uses. Technically renewal by Andersen is a breach of contract by submitting us to ally for repayment before the job is done. Because of the open dispute, it is currently going against our credit as non-payment because ******** turned us in before services were completed. Because weve gone through most of fall and all of winter with just spray foam around our window it is caused our heating bill to increase and we have a giant eyesore in our living room while hosting holidays this year ******** has not been very communicative about where we are in the process and only reached out to us after the plants department with Ally reached out to them. We want ******** to credit our ally account for the amount that is currently past due until all services have been completed in full. If this is not done sufficiently, we will start the process with Ally lending for breach of contract on ******** and request at the entire contract, be rolled null and void.Business Response

6/16/2021-Signed contracts -paid deposit of $5,262 on 7/22//21 a technician came to measure fir the garage entry door and the screen door and front door system on 6/18/21 ******** paid Anderson $1,569. We have been paying ******** every month since then. We made our first payment to Green Sky on 8/4/21. On 3/4/22 the original doors were installed ( not completely or correctly). On 3/18//22 Anderson sent out their technician (Bob) to inspect all the errors made on the initial install. He stated that the screen door waoukd need to be reordered due to it being destroyed during first install and that the front door was not installed correctly and would need to be taken out and reinstalled. Completely redoing the mill work inside and outside. The correct door handle was sent or installed on initial install and a replacement door handle was installed the second time around but again incorrect. On 8/3/22 the reinstall was to be installed and once the crew was there they determined that they did not have enough time to do the job. So they left. We had a terrible time getting in touch with anyone from Anderson to get the new install date scheduled. We had to go to the store at West County mall to talk to someone there that got things rolling again. On 11/8/22 2 technicians came out to reinstall the front door, replaced the screen door and adjusted the garage entry door.
1.hardware on front door doesn’t match and door handle should black and a handle not knob
2. The j- channel around outside door is wrong color
3.screen door doesn’t open all the way and slams close screen door has open areas to the outside that need to be closed and caulked completely with correct caulk and color4. There is no customer service at all. There is not a phone number, email or contact information left or given at anytime or on their website. They were to come and address the issues on the above complaint number. However, no one showed up and the complaint should still be open. I had to send a text to the latest contact from Anderson before getting a new date assigned to me. It is going to be on February 7th. Apparently the person scheduling the original date did not put it their system. This is part of the issue and complaint. Their lack of customer service and abbot follow up with the customer on issues and complaints. I had to actually had to talk live on the phone with a person at Anderson. She was not aware of all the issues that are wrong and not completed. I had to send her photos of everything including and picture of the original order and pictographs what we were supposed to get on the new doors.

We ordered a 6 Ft. Sliding glass deck door in April. It was being, finally, installed today. HOWEVER, they did not have the correct glazss in the door. We ordered a door with blinds between the glass. This door does not have the blinds. It was a $1300 upgrade- signer on April 22nd.Now, we are having trouble getting resolution from Andersen. They have not returned several calls from their office or ************************* in *********. How can we get a response from this company?Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The issue is not resolved! Andersen will review their/our options on Monday the 5th of December. After that time, we will have a more adequate understanding of our remedy. I do not consider a $700 dollar reduction on a $13,000 door a "generous offer".

We ordered our windows in March of 2022 and were told at the time it would be around September / October before they could be installed. We were fine with this as it seemed pretty common. Towards the end of October I had to reach out multiple times via email and phone just to see how close they were getting which I did not get replies but we were contacted out of the blue and they were finally installed near the end of October.
The windows were installed however they did not have any black trim for the inside we ordered to replace the white trim we already had in place. Installer said someone would reach out shortly for them to finish that piece. Having placed undue confidence and belief that Renewal by Andersen would complete the job, I authorized the final half of the payment to be released to them. Now I believe they have zero incentive to make this right.
It is going on three weeks and still no one has called. I've called and emailed multiple times with no contact from anyone other than to say someone would call me back. I called this morning again, explained the issue to the person answering the main line and was transferred blindly to someone who didn't answer and was forced to leave yet another voicemail.
This is all on top of after the windows were installed and after the installers left, I noticed all of the windows were dirty. They had dust and debris from installing in them. Not a huge deal but then walked outside and noticed the installers had completely trampled our flower bed in front of the house while installing one of the windows. This should have been completely avoidable and abled to be worked around without smashing everything in there. I also found loose screws in our driveway and front door walk way after having stepped on one that nearly went through my shoe. For spending over $20,000 with this company I expected more and need to have our install completed.Business Response

In February of 2022 we saw an advertisement on TV by Renewal by ******** with a 25% off offer. We had purchased our home in October of 2021 and and inspection revealed that new windows were reccommended. Our real estate agent had one of his contractors give us a bid for window replacement in the amount of $16000. We had a salesman ***************** come out and give us an estimate which was shocking, $63,000.00 after the 25% discount. I had some reservations the following day and contacted the salesman about the high price but never got a response related to lowering it. My wife and I decided to move forward based on ********* reputation and warranty. The windows were ordered with install estimated in July. The installers did arrive in July and installed the majority of the windows except one master bedroom bathroom which they said was the wrong size. This despite ******** sending out someone after the salesman measured them to assure they were all correct. Also they did not have the inside molding for 2 of the crescent shaped windows. We again had to wait for them to order the window and the inside molding and they finally came back in September and did install the bathroom window. The installers were surprised howerver, that the molding for the crescent windows were not here. So once again we are waiting on ******** to contact us on when the job will finally be completed. I called on 10/72022 and they said service would contact us the following week, they have not. I called on Monday of this week and received no return call. Also a window in our other bathroom does not open properly with the crank. I never recieved any written contract from ******** only and email attachment with breakdown of window specs, and an lump sum price of $63,000. There is no breakdown of materials, labor, painting etc which I find very troubling.Business Response

Two years ago I purchased black framed doors and windows from Renewal by ********. Every window they bring is badly scratched. The doors also leak. They keep replacing them with more scratched up windows. The ***** they replace them the worse it gets. I have three doors and one window that still leak and every window in my house is scratched from the warehouse. The answers I keep getting is there is nothing they can do about the scratches that's just the way the black ones are. That is not my problem. I paid over $60,000 for this product. I will not accept a damaged product even though they say just deal with the scratches. They owe me a refund because their product is not what I was promised. Scratched up doors and windows are unacceptable. Two years of bringing damaged doors and windows is ridiculous.Business Response

We acknowledge that Mr. and ************************* have experienced problems with their project. In every case, we have responded timely and professionally. The biggest concern has been the color. Their expectations on how the black color and finish should look on the windows is not attainable. All dark exterior color windows will show blemishes more so than while or light colored exterior windows. All of this has been explained multiple times including at the time of sale by our Design Consultant. We have countless satisfied customers throughout our market who love these dark colored exterior windows and doors. Regardless, we have gone overboard with ************************ to reach a happy ending. We have replaced the sashes at no cost to ************************ more than once even when we did not have to. Still he is displeased. He suggested we provide a substantial discount on additional product and we agreed. He only paid the deposit as he refuses to pay the balance and now wants even more money.
I am willing to meet with ************************ to agree to a resolution. I am currently out of the office, however, I will be back next week. I will contact him at that time to schedule a day and time. If at anytime anyone would like additional information, please feel free to contact me directly. OFFICE: ************

I am rejecting this response because: That is a lie. We were told by the salesmen they would look very clean and nice. They have been bringing me windows with big scratches, chips, leaking, and one of them is bent. My sliding doors they installed had to be forced in place because they were to tall. and the width was over a inch to narrow. These are not minor blemishes. This has been going on for two years.
