    July 7th, 2023, at 1:30 I received a bid for work to be completed on my basement in the amount of 14,875. Sat July 8th, 2023, ********* confirmed that all of the work (above and beyond what was in the estimate was in the quote and his response was “Yes all of it). I received the finalized estimate (see attached estimate 38) on 7/24/23 noting the 14,875. ********* confirmed that the workers would be there to start work on Tues July 25th between 8:30-9. And noted that there is 50% due up front and 50% when complete. On 8/10/2023 the contracted workers finished the work they said that they were doing but the stairs are not done. When I spoke to *********, he stated that he did not include the stairs in the quote, but I said he confirmed that all items in the estimate were covered. He then agreed to cover the flooring and on 8/10/23 completed estimate 39 (attached) noting there would be no fee to me and sent it in order to have the contracted workers paid. In efforts to reduce cost I tried coming up with solutions that might be less expensive such as painting and he stated that if I picked paint he would do the work on Mon Aug 14th. On the 14th he had an excuse and stated that he could come by Tues and do the work on Wed. By Thurs I had not heard and sent a text. No response. On Fri 8/8/23 I sent another text, he replied saying he wasn’t blowing me off but that he had a death in the family and that a carpet guy would be by on Mon Aug 21st and completed by Aug 23rd. Mon Aug 21st there was back and forth on the guy showing up Thurs Aug 24th He stated that he was having issues and was going to have big bobs do the work and was going to schedule it. Mon Aug 25the I asked for an update, and he responded after the 3rd text stating again that he was going to have Big Bob’s do the carpet. Thurs Aug 31st I texted for a date, and he stated that he had a guy lined up and he should be there around 1 on Friday September 1st. After that there has been no response.
