To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to file a formal complaint against Central Methodist University regarding misleading tuition information and unexpected fees. On February 10th, I made the difficult decision to withdraw from the university after completing my first semester. During a meeting with the Dean of Students and my parent, it was explicitly stated that I would only owe $437 to cover my second-semester tuition. However, on April 22, 2024, I received a letter from the university stating that there were additional back tuition fees of almost 3,000$ that were not accounted for during our initial discussion. This discrepancy between what was communicated to me and what was later billed is unacceptable and has caused significant financial strain. I believe this situation constitutes a violation of trust and fairness. As a consumer, I relied on the information provided by the university to make informed decisions about my education and finances. The sudden appearance of additional fees has left me feeling deceived and frustrated. I request that the Better Business Bureau investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action to ensure that Central Methodist adheres to fair and transparent business practices. Additionally, I seek resolution in the form of a correction of the billing error and reimbursement of any unjust fees. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, ******* ******
