      Prestige Laid some new hardwood floors and refinished, existing hardwood floors. I paid the bill when they finished but I hadnt been in the house because we had to stay off the floors. When I got back in and started walking around I noticed a lot of problems with the finish and damage to the house. There is pooling and grit and discoloration through all the rooms. **** Massara came out with his *******. They said the floors would have to be refinished again. I told *** that we had already been out of the house for weeks - my husband was ill and I really didnt want to go through it all over again. **** said he would refund everything I had paid for the sanding and staining and that I would still pay for the floor they put in. He sent me a little less than half of what he agreed to. **** wont answer my calls texts or emails. the financial breakdown is as follows:Remove floor, Cut header install new wood and lace floors in with current floor. Total $1495.Sand and stain floors $10,757.50 I paid $12,252.50. If you subtract the amount for laying the floor that leaves a balance of $10,757.50 that they owe me. I was sent a check for $5232.50. That leaves a balance of $5525

      The client requested a full refund for the work done, despite some areas being satisfactory. After extensive back and forth, the decision was made to refund the client fully. Two checks were issued: one for $5,232.50 on November 6th, 2024 and another for $5,525 on 2/10/25.
