I had some siding that needed to be repaired. They gave me a form to sign which I signed and texted to someone. A couple weeks ago I fired my realtor and this company repaired the siding without contacting me prior and they put the wrong siding on. I spoke to the company and they informed me they no longer make the same siding that is on my home. No one contacted me first to inform me of the wrong siding being used or to tell me they were coming to work on my home.

Please see the following notes in regards to this job:

December 27, 2023 *********************** (realtor for the seller ************) contacted Jeffco to repair the siding that was damaged on the 3rd floor deck of unit 307 located at *********************************************************************  At this time ***** mentioned the unit was going to be sold and timing of the repair was a concern to be done as soon as possible.  Jeffco has completed several repairs in this complex in the past for the property management company and was aware of the scope of work.    She was contacted and told someone from our office would go by and see what needed to be repaired and get the repair process in motion as soon as possible.

I went by and matched the siding as close as possible for siding that was available and sent a proposal to her on January 8, 2024 for $ ******** for siding material and labor to repair the siding and be done before the unit sold.

on February 14, 2024 the owner returned a signed proposal to Jeffco to complete the repair and Jeffco ordered the siding.  The owner was responsible for the damage and would have to pay for the damage because the association does not cover damaged siding from owners (i.e. bbq pit melted siding)

The repair was completed as soon as the siding was available.  The siding is newer and was the closest match available to the existing siding that was installed when the unit was built.

March 19, 2024 Jeffco sent realtor *********************** a bill for the damaged siding to forward to the owner.

Jeffco was then contacted by the owner that he had fired the realtor and was not going to pay the bill and at that time Jeffco told him the company was unaware of the change of realtors.   He would then still be liable for the repair and improvement of his property.

Per a discussion with the project manager (*****************************) there was a determination to send the owner a new bill for ****** just to cover the material in a sign of good faith and at no time did Jeffco deviate from the original agreement made with the realtor and signed by the owner.  Since the owner signed the proposal for the work to be done he is liable and he should have contacted Jeffco to alert them of the change of realtors.

Jeffco discussed with the owner that a bill and **** would be forwarded to the title company if he refused to pay the bill for the work completed and it would be taken care of at time of closing for the property.

He then issued a threat for trespassing charges and Jeffco reviewed with him that the repair was being made as properly agreed to.  Jeffco did not have a contact number for him and was dealing through the original agent for the whole process.

The owner did agree to pay the bill for ****** with a credit card.  The labor would be absorbed by the company.

Jeffco has a very high rating with the BBB and a great history of customer satisfaction and the company does not want an issue like this to be a changing factor for the outstanding reputation of the company.

Please see the attached proposal, work order and bills to support this information.

    Professionally,

    *******************************

I am rejecting this response because:

they never called me or showed me what they were putting up.  If I am paid the $600 back, I will make it a wash and if not I am filing a small claims court case against them.

    Sincerely,

I had sent all the documentation that this job was done per original conversation with real estate agent.  Once the owner fired the agent he shoud have contacted our company.  The customer was only charged the material cost and Jeffco absorbed all the labor.  I had a brief conversation with the owner and stated we have done several repairs on the apartments he lives in and have always used the same siding to repair the project areas.  The older siding does fade and you have to use the best manufacturer and color that is available to match the existing siding.  I bill was reduced for material only.
