      I contracted with J5 Heating and Cooling to install an A/C unit and Furnace on September 19, 2022. I paid the deposit and the equipment was ordered. Two workers came out to remove the furnace and A/C unit. I waited several days and the furnace arrived but, they were waiting on the A/C unit. His workers dropped off the new furance and put it in my garage. I waited several more days and the A/C unit was received by the ********************* (owner). He contacted me and his that all equipment would be installed. I waited weeks and did not hear from him. He did not return calls and text were occasionally answered. After several weeks without heat or air conditioning. I contact him and told him that I needed to know if he would be able to complete the work. He explained that he lost a child and his life fell apart. I was understanding and asked him to issue a refund. I hired another company to complete the work. After approximately 90 days of storing the furnance, ****** came to pick up the equipment that his workers left. It has been more than 90 days since all contact has concluded but, he has not issued the refund on the deposit. I want the company to issue the refund. I have attached the estimate, receipt, terms and condition (which is blank), photos depicting furnace duct and gas line that is not attached to HV** system, the ** unit has been removed and just exposed wiring where the outside condenser should have been installed. I have forwarded text messages.

      Below is timeline of events for this compliant.
      9/22/22 File claim with ********************* (Choice Warranty) for issues with Furnace
      9/23/22 Claim was accepted and assigned to J5 Heating and Cooling (Technician *********************) and scheduled an appointment for 9/26/22
      9/26/22 J5 Heating and Cooling (Technician *********************) came out to my residence and inspected the furnace. He diagnosed the furnace as needing to be replaced and supplied the diagnosis to the warranty company.
      10/6/22 Home Warranty approved the replacement of the furnace
      10/7/22 Contacted ****** via text message and informed him that the claim has been approved. I asked if he could provide a timeframe for repair. ****** responded by stating that he needed to check to see when the equipment (furnace) would arrive and then he will schedule an appointment.
      10/14/22 I reached back out to ****** asking if he could provide a date and time of the replacement.
      10/18/22 ****** contacted me stating that he was told by the ********************* that he was supposed to order the equipment and he was just ordering it. ****** stated that he could do the work by the end of the week, and I agreed.
      10/24/22 ****** contacted me stating that the furnace had arrived. I informed him that I was available anytime this week for the repair.
      10/25/22 I reached back out to ****** and inquired about a date for the repair. ****** replied and asked if Thursday 10/26/22 would be ok. I replied yes. ****** agreed.
      10/25/22 ****** sent me a payment receipt for the non-covered cost that I would be responsible for paying.
      10/26/22 ****** contacted me and stated that the non-covered payment would need to be made in order to take purchase the rest of the supplies. I paid the invoice in the amount of $730.00 (the receipt is attached)
      10/27/22 ****** arrived at my residence with a furnace. He did not discover it was the wrong furnace until after he had already taken apart a portion of my old furnace. He informed me that he would need to return on 10/28/22 at around noon to complete the work. He left wires hanging and not connected. (I have uploaded pictures)
      10/28/22 ****** was a no call no show.
      10/29/22 I contacted ****** with no response
      10/30/22 contacted the **************** the technician not being responsive.
      11/1/22 ****** contacted me and stated that my furnace will be in this afternoon, and he would come out on 11/2/22 to replace.
      11/2/22- ****** was a no call no show
      11/3/22- I contacted ****** and asked was he coming out today. No response. I then asked if I could get a refund in order for me to request a new technician. No response
      11/4/22 Contacted ******, no response. **************** notified me that they contacted the technician and told them that he was going to call me to schedule the appointment.
      11/7/22 Contacted ******, no response
      11/7/22- contacted the warranty company and requested that they reassigned my claim to a new technician. **************** stated that this would start the claims **************** again and could further delay the repair. They ask if I could wait another day in order to conduct further outreach to the technician. I hesitantly agreed
      11/11/22 Home warranty reassigned the claim however they informed me that I would have to work to get my refund back from the technician.
      Closing
      I have been without a furnace for 3 weeks. The temperature currently is in the lower 30s in the day and lower 20s at night. And I only want a refund of $730 that was paid for services not rendered by J5 Heating and Cooling. This is a fraudulent company and should not have a business license.
