I took my car on the 02/28/2023 in for a oil change which was charged over a $100.00 and I told them that I might need a strut, or a ball joint or a tire rod fixed not sure which one. They replaced brake pads and rotors and I did not want them to do that because the place that I bought my care was going to fix the brake pads and rotors. They did not did not even even fix what I suggested it might be the struts, ball joint, or tire rod. The total came out to be $929.57. My desired refund that I would like would be $800.00.

    Business Response

The customer on the complaint is not the customer that
brought the vehicle to the shop and had the work approved. I have
attached a copy of the invoice showing that the customer was only
charged $57.99 for a synthetic oil change (customer complaint says we
charged $100). In addition the customer asked us to repair an oil
pressure sensor that he knew was bad. This was not something we would
normally check for during an oil change without the customer informing
us of a problem. The oil pressure sensor part and labor were approved by
the customer before the part was ordered. The customer stated that
there was a weird noise in the front end he would like checked out also.
The customers front brake pads were metal and had dug into the rotors,
he was notified, taken out to see the problem and agreed to have the
work done, the rear brake pads were near metal and he asked to have them
changed also. All parts were priced out with labor and a total given to
the customer before any parts were ordered or labor was done. The
customer waited here at the shop for the parts to arrive and to have the
parts installed. This work was not done without the customer being
aware and in full agreement. The customer sat in the waiting room
talking to another customer and told that customer that he was getting
brakes and rotors and how much it was costing him. The customer was
fully aware of what work was agreed to. The customer's girlfriend called
back complaining that we did not fix the issues she sent it up there
for fixing, we informed her that he did not approve of having any other
mechanical work done, the only work approved was all brake pads and
front rotors, an oil change and an oil pressure sensor. She requested a
full refund (which included her keeping the parts installed on the
vehicle) because she did not want the work performed. The vehicle is
listed in our system with the customer information that brought us
the vehicle and all decisions were made by that customer. She
was informed that we could not refund her for parts and work that are
not faulty and that was work that he approved. I am unsure what
additional information you may need, however you may call myself or Mike
    at any time with questions. ****** **** (###-###-####) ******* ********  (###-###-####)

I am rejecting this response because: No I am not the one who brought that car in however I called before sending it up and told you what needed fixed and was told to have them bring it in., I let the person who answered the call know that I was working and someone else would be bringing it in. Was told that was fine. The car was brought in to have an oil change and to have the tire rods replaced. When I called back after being told what was changed I was told “ neither one of us remember talking to you and we are the only ones here” that could not be true since I talked to two people on the phone about the probable. As I am the customer I was not informed tell after the work was done. I tried to call back as was talked to as if I knew nothing about what I was talking about. The awful costumer service on top of having $900 of work done that wasn’t what the car was sent for is atrocious.

    Sincerely,

I am not the name on the invoice but I am the one who paid for it, my debt dare was used. If need be a complaint can be made by dk as well.

I am sending my bank statement proving I paid the round about tire and that the only reason I wasn’t on the invoice is because I was working and had a friend take my car for me.
